Looking like Everton will be signing Watford's Richarlison for £50m

What is it with the Ev overpaying for average players?

Mostly true, for sure. And I get that we have an inflated economic bubble thanks to the lucrative TV deals we have.

Richarlison could be a solid player one day, but 5 goals in almost 40 games isn't terribly impressive for an attacking player. I guess Marco Silva sees something in him. Everton spent a ton on players last summer and looked rubbish, and I don't see them getting any better by targetting these mediocre prospects. They're a big club, they should be able to attract a higher caliber of player. Spurs have never spent that amount of money on a single player and we do pretty well.

Heck, Lookman had a nice loan stint in Germany. Bring him back and give him a chance in the squad.

The blame should go towards the ridiculous influx of television $$$$. Viewership & the games popularity in the States continues to grow. NBC paid a whopping $Billion for the TV rights in America alone. The Big clubs are shown every week here. That wasn't the case even a decade ago. It's really quite remarkable.

Did you watch the CL Final?

You mean the game in which Ramos ellbowed Karius before his mistakes with Liverpool team doctors stating he had a concussion?

Karius certainly isn't great and not what you want at a top club, but paying that kind of money for a guy with one good season at Roma's quite strange.
van Dijk, at least, showed his skills a couple years in the EPL and at Celtic before joining Liverpool.

Listen, your not gonna see me complain about "overpaying" at this stage. Fans have wanted the club to spend $ for many years. Well, we're finally getting our wish. Needed a GK in the worst way. It's worth the investment assuming he does live up to expectations.

Richarlison to Everton official.

Malcom signs with Barca after snubbing Roma at the last second.

Schurrle to Fulham looking like it's in the works.

He was best gk in Serie A last season. With how outrageous the transfer market is these days, it was a fine purchase

Richarlison´s upside is tremendous. I deem is a good sign for Everton.

Schurrle hasn't looked very good for a couple of years has he?

Malcolm isn't that good either.

It's Wolves who seem to be making great purchases.

Sigurdsson is 8 years older. The perfomances displayed by Richarlsion in the first days of the last season was absolutely outstanding.

If Chelsea sign Pulisic, I'll be mad. Rather have him stay at Dortmund then go there.

Sarri would be great for his development

Only thing I’m concerned with is that at Napoli Sarri only played his regular starting 11 plus three players. The rest of the bench were just practice dummies. I hope at Chelsea he utilized a full squad, specially as he will be expected to be highly competitive in all three competitions.

Juve’s transfer market this summer is seriously unbelievable.
Bonucci is crazy if he thinks I’m going to accept him back with open arms......
And I feel for Higuain knowing he did not want to leave, but his Milan salary is rumored to be close to 9mil per season so I don’t feel bad at all actually

I'm weirdly not bothered by Spurs not signing anyone this summer. I think we're maybe missing a creative CM, that's about it. Assuming most of our young core group improves, having cohesion from last season to this season could be a good thing.
