The last time Liverpool made a title run, their defense was crap and gave up key goals to Crystal Palace to turn a 3-0 win into a 3-3 draw. No way that happens this year.
If Liverpool is going to lose this, Tot or MC need to get hot and beat Liverpool head to head. Certainly possible. I kind of think Chelsea, Arsenal and Man U are out of title consideration.
Liverpool has Arsenal and then at Man City in the next 7 days. That will tell a lot.
If it comes down to a Spurs vs. Liverpool head to head at Anfield, I'd bank on Liverpool for that. Spurs record against Liverpool is atrocious in recent seasons, barring last season's 4-1 and the flukey 2-2.
The one thing that works well in Spurs' favour imo is the amount of away games we've played already, so there's a disproportionate amount of home games to come. Wembley isn't exactly our home ground but our form there has been pretty good, though I'm still kinda disappointed about the new stadium situation.
Didn't see that. 11 of 19 at home is certainly nice. Tot has two games to circle. At Man City and at Anfield. If they can draw those or better they stand a good chance of near running the table on everything else. If they lose both, then it would be tough for them.
In general, its nice that all three of the top teams play attacking ball and Arsenal too. Maybe the rest of the league will get in on it.
