nein, not in the traditional sense
He was free to roam in the entire offensive field, playing in front of Pirlo-Gattuso-Seedorf and behind Inzaghi or Sheva or Crespo.
Just as an example: in the 2007 final he was playing next to Inzaghi. so he was the 2nd most offensive player on the starting lineup.
