What are your thoughts on the first round of World Cup?

What are your thoughts on the first round of World Cup and which team was your favorite?

I liked how England played with nice and quick passes, even though they waisted many opportunities but that can be blamed on the 1 billion flies that were in the stadium. I'm looking forward to watching England again.

I also like how smaller teams stood up to bigger teams, like Australia vs France, Switzerland vs Brazil and especially Mexico vs Germany the defending champions.

I agree. I was expecting the group placements to be pretty predictable, but results have been all over the place. Last minute goals, tons of penalties and dramas. Pretty entertaining so far.

Yeah at this point it feels like the tournament could be wide open. I’m sure that’ll change over the next week though.

All these own goals makes me think Russian mafia has an input on the games. Some of them put opposing strikers to shame.

Good tournament so far. But it is hard to expect great football in 1st games in group stages. A lot of teams still trying just to win and advance and not playing or showing their full potential. Now all these unexpected results puts a lot of pressure on favorites and they need to go all in. I am looking forward to super competitive Argentina-Croatia, Poland-Colombia, France-Peru and Sweden-Germany games now.
