We will probably not survive the group stage. And of course our first away game has to be Marseille which will be behind closed doors. Stupid UEFA. Just sit in the corner and think about what you did there.

Nevertheless, Eintracht fans will rock europe. The question for us is how many tickets is Lazio offering.

Usually a first bucket of 2k or 2.5k tickets, then another 2k or 2.5k after the first one is sold out.

Tough group for sure, even Apollon is a decent team.

Again is it worth even watching until the semis?

Yes, it is the best part: interesting football, great matches and supporters. No plastic fans.
I just hope no big team drop from UCL like last season because that f*** ** all the tournament...

Seems like Uefa want to split the Europa League into two pieces in 2021...

Will be awkward. I like the EL as it is. Nobody will watch the dreadful 3. european competition...so why implement it?

The success of a third competition depends on the format: CWC was a fantastic competition.
The real problem is that, nowdays unlike in the 90', the National cup's winners are usually a top team and they already are in the CL.

Furthermore EL has a great problem with its format: 48 squads are too much and when a top team drop from CL the competition is over...

32 CL squad
32 EL squad
32 3rd competition squad

I was thinking about writing this post since the day after the Eintracht-Lazio game but I was a little bit worried about being misinterpreting...
So I need to start from the beginning, in Frankfurt there were a lot of unpleasent event with Lazio/italian family attack from german hooligans (and other team leftist fans). Not the Lazio's ultras but just fans who travelled to FF by themself...
Right now the climate in Rome is not good about Eintracht's fans, not only with the ultras but with everyone, unfortunately the managment decide to sell at least 5800 tickets for the visitors sector.. So my advice is stay at home.
If you came here despite all, keep a low profile, btw after Feyenord case few years ago the police is not really permissive.

Now, mine is not a threat but an analysis of the situation.

Going to Rome was an option for us after the draw. Would have been a highlight trip after all with over 10000 Eintracht Fans in the city.
But with the toxic atmosphere which will probably not getting better the next weeks, and knowing what both sides are capable of, that thought died. I don´t get a ticket anyway. The run at tickets is insane. Almost every club member and season ticket holder ( only if you´re both you´ve got pre emption rights and have an actual chance) is trying to get one. And having no ticket certainly doesn´t keep Eintracht fans away from traveling. Everybody wants to be part of that "invasion". So yes, this could get ugly.

And Rome shouldn´t even think of declaring an exclusion order for the whole city for those without a ticket.

It´s really disturbing the resurgence of hooligans and ultras across Europe in the last years. These people who don´t care about football and the game and they just want to drink and fight. Clubs and government should work together to keep these yobs far from the stadiums.
