If Chelsea make the CL (and it looks like they will) then I expect to see the other 5 big clubs move to quicker managerial firing in the future.

Not sure why Man City were written off so early. They were low down the table mostly because they started the season after the other teams and they always had games in hand. Sure they got a few draws at the beginning too but they've only lost 2 matches all season and the 5-2 loss to us was a game where I said we didn't deserve such a flattering scoreline.

Massive game for us and Liverpool next week in terms of European football places. A loss for us would mean that we only pick up 4 points from matches against Leeds, Fulham, wolves and Liverpool. I'd have hoped for 10 if we'd been title contenders, 9 for CL, 7 for EL . 4 would be a disaster. Liverpool have had our number for a while and seem to step up a couple of gears against us, they also have a week to prepare whilst we're playing Brighton in the Cup on Wednesday. Looks like a Pool victory and surely anything less for Liverpool and they'll start to panic as Chelsea (and others) come up from behind.

With Arsenal watching Spurs pull away from them and Chelsea accelerate ahead will the owners again look at Arteta and his position?

Arsenal roster is dreadful. Nobody in the world would manage top 4 in EPL with that roster.
No veteran leadership whatsoever.
Quite fitting that they made Aubameyang their captain. I mean don't get me wrong he is a good player just not someone who stands for hard work, reliability and leadership.

They do have promissing youngsters, though.
Just treat this as a developmental season and get rid of some of the overpaid deadweight on the roster in summer.

He's safe.
Next season is the important one for Arteta.
He'll get the team he wants and he's going to have to perform.

Otherwise hes' out.

With Arsenal missing out on the UCL this season...I can already see them having to overpay for 2nd fiddles again in the summer window.

Gotta be very smart in summer to not be stuck in mediocrity forever.

Palace play some dreadful football.

Feels like only the guy with possession of the ball will move on offense.

Mateta will fit right in this team hahaha

Bielsa is doing a great job with Leeds.
Squad is playing really well together although they do not have all that much individual talent to work with.

Being a CP fan must be really depressing.
At least with Mainz I know the players are just bad.

This CP team just looks like they don't give a damn.

Seems a bit flukey to me. Watched him the other day over a full 90 mins and really didn't seem to be such a big deal.

Drunk sunday, bad game. Hangover is a bitch. Had to call in sick, spending all monday in bed. Not fun watching us play right now, but hopefully it's just a period we have to get through. Klopp better start playing the new guys at the back and move Hendo and Fabinho into the midfield. Atleast try something new. Full trust in Klopp, but even with the injuries and what not - top-4 should be the absolute minimum.

James Justin out for the season with ACL. Real shame he's been playing so well and I believed he'd have been in for England at the Euros - still that might be a godsend for us for next season.

So we're having to play with a back 3 including Amartey against Liverpool because of the injury problems. Both Justin and Castagne out at FB and Fofana and Morgan out at CB . That sort of explains this season.

Pool with a lot of ball in the first half but not much threat. Vardy could've had a hat-trick if he was on form. Level is probably fair. Got to hope we get on track with each other in the second. Amartey may be the weak link but he's done well in an unusual position (in only his 9th game after 2 years out) Ricardo hasn't been able to go forward in his unusal LB position. Soyuncu looking good, Madderz looking poor.

It wasn't that surprising. Our defence played great but our passing was terrible. We went 1-0 down so had to attack and then we tore them apart. Liverpool had a week to prepare for that.
