Rare occasion of De Bruyne playing the wrong pass on the break.

Belgium need to switch to a back 4 if they want to keep trying to build from the back. Or push the wing backs forward to dominate Canada, Canada only have the two in midfield sitting there’s space to exploit.

This is pretty much how Canada played throughout qualifying. They're one of those teams that knows their strengths, plays to them relentlessly and forces you out of your comfort zone.

1-0 to Belgium, Canada caught with a long ball down the middle and Batshuayi converts with a fine finish. Poor defending.

Canada spurning so many chances. Their wide play has been fantastic but it's like they panic when the ball gets into a goal scoring position.

Based on the replay his foot was stepped on before falling.

Yeah, that's what I thought.

Just feel Canada didn't get the call because it wasn't actually a goal-scoring chance and they were already awarded a penalty.

Canada does not have the killer instinct. They need to play more games against better teams to fulfill their potential.

Come on, take it easy. No need for the antagonism.

Canada is playing well but terrible finishing. Extremely unlucky to be down.

It has been coming for a while and I expect a really disappointing World Cup for us.

Martinez still opting for a high line, with old and slow defenders. It's baffling, but expected.

I was so surprised to see the 2 old Spurs guys starting at the back. thought they must have retired. Faes is so much better. Batshuayi up front is not that good either. Midfield is class though. Tielemans, KDB and Hazard.

Surprised Faes isn't playing as well. Is he in the squad? I haven't checked.
