Isn't Rice more a pure DM instead of a playmaker style player?

There are thousands of uniteds in England. Man U or Man utd are fair names and carry no hate as far as I know.

Nordi Mukiele can be bought for £8.5 million which is an absolute bargain.
Konrad Laimer is available and will enter his final year of his deal, another potential bargain.
Kalvin Phillips could be bought for £25 million if Leeds are relegated.
Raphinha also could be available for £25/£30 million - Barcelona supposedly have an agreement in place for him.
Stefan De Vrij is available for £15 million.

There are some bargain deals to be made out there. Plus a few decent free agents that are coming up this summer.

Also I'm stoked about securing Coutinho on such a cheap deal. He took a huge pay cut to ensure he came to Villa despite Newcastle offering 300-400k a week for him... Also we got him for £17 million, a guy that cost over £100 million not that long ago. Barca have done some horrible business in the last few years.

I wonder also has a team ever sold a player for £100 million and bought a player that was worth £100 million within the same season?

She's quite reliable with the information she gets on transfers. It's not much of a surprise though, he almost went to Chelsea last summer.

Very impressed with Rice today, but yeah, he is defensive player, I dont think he would bring offensive upside, France had that guy named Gonalons, Rice is English version of Gonalons, defensive savant. Rice is English, member of national team, so there is also novelty in that, most teams in all sports want to have domestic players even tho its a novelty as I said.

It's true that he thrives best as an anchor man or double pivot type DM, but Rice is also an excellent and willing passer. Not knocking West Ham as they're a nice counter attacking side, but I think if he moves to a team that plays more progressive football through the midfield like City, you would see him contribute more in the attacking phase of play.

City already have a DM ready-made for their midfield in Rodri, so it's more likely he ends up at Chelsea or United if he moves, both of whom require central midfield overhauls.

Not overly surprising but Mbappe to Real Madrid, according to someone that works in the same building as me (he works for a sports agency) this has been agreed since Feb times.

Tier 1 - Liverpool and Man City

Tier 2 - Chelsea maybe Spurs and Arsenal? (these teams are going to spend a lot to bridge that gulf in class between City/Liverpool and the rest.

Tier 3 - Man Utd, West Ham and Wolves (Man Utd are in total rebuild mode or they should be, West Ham have a great squad however if they sell Rice and Soucek they'll fall off a bit)

Tier 4 - Aston Villa, Brighton, Leicester, Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Everton. (Leicester, Villa, Newcastle and Palace will likely improve on what they have and battle for the Tier 3 spots/Europa league positions but aren't likely to get close to the top 4)

Tier 5 - Fulham, Bournemouth, Brentford, Burnley/Leeds, Southampton and whoever else gets promoted - Its hard to say what these teams need, but they just probably need to upgrade across the board.

Not sure about Spurs and Arsenal being in a second tier. I've said it before, but Arsenal need a top quality central midfielder, and a striker. Get one or both of them and they should be able to replicate what they've done this season and compete for top four. If not, they might fall back with midweek games to contend with next season.

There's still a big question mark over Spurs because we don't know if Kane will stay. City signing Haaland obviously rules out one destination, but I believe his future at the club hinges on Conte. If Conte stays/signs an extension, then I believe Kane will too. We have the genesis of a very good front three with him, Sonny and Kulusevski. Positions to upgrade are central midfield, backup striker and most importantly: wing backs. I love Hojbjerg's passion for the club and I still see him as a good backup, but we need a more creative mind to play next to Bentancur in our starting 11, to take playmaking pressure off Kane. Possibly another CB? If Dier and Davies play like they did against Liverpool more frequently, we might not need one. Romero is obviously mustard, absolute beast.

It feels like I say this every year, but Palace are a team to watch. I think Vieira's building quite a nice team there, and will likely make more savvy signings in the summer. I see them as being in a similar spot to Villa, like you said. Newcastle also have the cash to splash, so that's somewhere to watch as well.

Teams would kill to have that front 3 - even the Barcas and Reals of the world. Yet Spurs still only slip into CL through the back door, that shows the work that needs to be done.

De Jong to City might be on considering he wants CL football and United cannot offer that. Also Gundo and Fernandinho are departing. Hopefully this prys open the window for a marquee splash for Declan Rice.

Bayern are interested in Kalajdzic from Stuttgart.

That would be a pretty big downgrade from Lewandowski.

I would've thought they would want Haller who is still a downgrade from Lewandowski (lets face most replacements for him would be), but he knows the Bundesliga already and seems to found his form again.

McGinn to Tottenham, would cost them £40-£50 mill. Not bad profit for us, got him for less than £3 mill...

I like John McGinn but I would be baffled if we splashed £50m, on him. That would be an outrageous overpay.

Can't see that happening. Seems more like something Everton would do.

I don’t know where he’ll play for you guys he’s much better being an attacking mid that presses. My gut tells me it’s his agent putting feelers out so he can land him a new contract with us.

He’s a good player and when he’s on your team you really appreciate him.

Last I heard Dortmund was interested in Haller. But not sure whether it is going through.

Apparently he has a near-identical agreement in place with both clubs, and he's in the process of deciding now.

I would love to see him at Real Madrid, personally, but wouldn't blame him if he wanted to stay in his home country.

I hope Papa Perez takes this very personal and just moves on from Mbappe in general
