Unreal game

Gavi though... this kid spends basically the whole game on the floor, it's embarrassing

Unbelievable game of football, probably one of the best games I've watched this season, if not the best. Tremendous spectacle between two titans of Europe. Shame it was in the EL and not the CL.

That game was literally breathtaking. Balls out for 90 minutes.

Lol at Fred causing like 12 fouls with no yellow.

I think Utd will win the 2nd leg. Even if Barca manages to pass through I think they'll get ko'ed due to lack of depth (especially at striker and having effectively just 19 eligible players) and prioritizing la liga.

Every time I watch Monaco someone is shooting bangers from outside of the box. Seems like everyone on the team can do it.

So was that a pen on Fernandes? Looked soft but Bruno did seem to hook his arm and spin him around. Ugh.

Ten Hag seems to push right buttons at the breaks... what a difference in second half.

7 goals conceded in 22 La Liga games
4 goals conceded in 2 matches against Man United

You have to have United as favourites in this competition, along with Arsenal.

Never been a fan of Fred but must admit he is filling in nicely for Eriksen. Still makes odd stupid pass or losses ball for no reason but compared to how he looked in August/September it is huge improvement.

^^Alonso doesn't play in la liga, whereas in the CL Xavi played him as a cb ahead of 3 better players in the squad in the first leg. He also started Sergi Roberto who has somehow held a place in the squad despite being the worst player in it for 3+ years.

Man U's victory is impressive in that Barca has formidable players, but I don't think their defeat signifies much other than the mediocrity of Xavi as tactician compared to Ten Hag.

He probably has more goals this year than shots on target in the previous 3. It's mostly attributable to Casemiro and Licha. They can both move the ball so Fred doesn't have to turn it over every two minutes.

So the third biggest club in the world and Arsenal are favourites to win the second tier level European competition. That's surprising. Soon we'll be celebrating that they made it into the final 32 of said competition.

How the mighty have fallen.

And Barcelona hahahahahahahahahaha
