A deep dive into Napoli's turnaround and winning the scudetto against much richer clubs this season, inspirational underdog story.

Ukraine war and Napoli's philosophy and willingness to gamble all combine to this triumph.

Serie A's beleagured Sampdoria receive pig's head in post

Hmm, a few years ago, I was on a train from Genova towards Cinque Terre and it was a Sunday so there were Sampdoria fans on board. I think they had a good season that year and they'd just won a match.

Seemed pretty well-behaved. They weren't loud, didn't seem drunk.

But every club has ultras?

Congratulations to Napoli for winning their first scudetto in 33 years. Much deserved and the celebrations in that city were beautiful. No one predicted they'd be this good after losing Insigne, Mertens, Koulibaly, Fabian...
Spaletti finally wins a scudetto solidifying his status as an elite manager and tactician.
De Laurentiis deserves credit as well for what he's done to the club since taking over.
And sporting director Giuntoli has done an amazing job bringing in players for affordable prices: Osimhen, Kvara, Lobotka, Kim, Anguissa, etc...
One can only hope the team stays together and gets stronger over the summer as De Laurentiis is promising.

The race for champions league is pretty tight with three games remaining:
1. Napoli (champions) --- 83
2. Juventus --------------- 69*
3. Inter -------------------- 68
4. Lazio -------------------- 65
5. Milan -------------------- 61
6. Roma -------------------- 59
7. Atalanta ---------------- 58

*Because this league is a joke and the witch hunt continues, Juventus are expected to be docked 9 points in a week or so.
Juve host Milan second to last game of the season in what can be a decider for the 4th spot.
