Now with Sesko signed, how soon before we hear Neville push Manchester United as title contenders?

When does it stop being underwhelming and it becomes the norm?

When we stop spending over $200-$300M per transfer window to finish sixth or lower?

I could see a scenario where Manchester United finishes in the top-6. Cunha, despite being a hot head on occasion, and Mbeumo, we'll see if he can continue to outperform his expected goals, are two PL proven scorers, something the Red Devils lacked last season outside of Bruno.

But it's more about what I'm seeing from the clubs outside the top-4 last season. Isak has seemingly played his last game at Newcastle United. The Magpies lack depth, and we saw what happened the last time the club was in the CL. Aston Villa hasn't really improved, at least through transfers. Bournemouth and Brentford have lost key players.

I can see the top 7 possibly being

1. Liverpool
2. City
3. Arsenal
4. Chelsea
5.Villa
6.Spurs
7.Everton

I’ll wait until the transfer window is closed to decide player of the season.

I think Everton may be the most surprising team, Moyes is a decent manager and they’ve made some alright signings I can see them possibly getting a conference league spot.

I think Bournemouth may have a down season so I’ll say they might take the title for most underwhelming season.

I’ll say Leeds, Burnley and one of Brentford, West Ham or Sunderland could get relegated.

You know what I’ve just completely forgot about Newcastle lol maybe I’ll put Newcastle 6th and Spurs 7th. But this is heavily dependent on Isak leaving and if they were to get Samu (hopefully they don’t get Samu)

I could see Brentford battling relegation. Don't let Stormi see this but I think Chelsea and City are the only real challengers to Liverpool unless Gyokeres outperforms my expectations. I think Joao Pedro is going to make a big difference for Chelsea.

United's midfield and defense are still a mess. Doesn't mean they can't get Europe but they're not serious top 5 contenders at this point.
It's time for 5 refs.

For the record, I have never considered Cunha a winning player.
He is talented and technically gifted but his lazy defense and at times selfishness often seem to hurt his teams.

Notice how Wolverhampton was dreadful with him putting up stats for most of last season but then suddenly started winning games with him on a four game red card ban.
It is not a coincidence.

He is good for a mid table team who needs scoring.
But if you wanna reach that top of the table he is hurting you more than helping.

Just dropping in to say - Adam Wharton is an absolute baller. He has been for a few seasons now but I think he’ll be a contender for young player of the season.

Palace are on a tear lately. If only those mid table teams can keep there good players for a few years.

Well played Palace. Henderson is a monster on PKs, Wharton bossed the second half and Eze was doing what he does best.

Hopefully they can, but history suggests it’s not likely.

That was a fun game, lots of chances for both teams.

Cool to see Palace lift another trophy so soon after their first, albeit a minor one.
