Hmm... Not really sure if having four seperate threads for the quarter finals was part of the plan but I guess now that we have a soccer forum, I'll let this roll.

We maybe missing up to 7 players. GK Volkan, and our token brazilian Aurelio is out with suspensions. Defender Emre Gungor, Midfielder Tumer and captain Emre Belozoglu is definitely out, Defender Servet and Gokhan are doubtful. I am not too concerned with missing the midfielders as we can easily replace them but our already terrible defense is looking even worse.

There is a chance that Turkey will miss their entire first defensive line plus the GK. I fear they will have to score 3 goals to make it 3-3 in regular time...

yea, good think eduardo is not playing, he could ve bagged half a dozen goals against us. Servet has to play unless he is in a coma. he is our only good defensive player and we can t afford playing without him.

Mamba, Emre might come back for semis if we advance, but it is doubtful.

Croatia wins this on the basis of bias.

i have to say that thanks to the czech game servet has turned into one of my favorite defenders, he showed a lot of heart and a lot of order and great defending technique.

i don't think that missing several players could slow down turkey. i think they have the most heart of the tournament.

i'm hoping for a great match.

Turkeys players missing and Croatia's form make this an easy decision for me.

Turkey wins this cause I said so.
First the federal government borrowed money; then gave the money to Bank of America; then I borrowed some of that money from Bank of America and gave it to the federal government; then the federal government gave the money back to Bank of America.

WTF? Volkan banned for two games and Schweinsteiger only for one game. That's unfair. UEFA is fixed too :D
I hope Servet can play. Without him and Gökhand we have no defense. And without defense Modric is going to kill us.

Can someone tell us how reserve GKs Rustu and Tolga are in shape? I don't think that SO many of us here follow the Turk Superlig. I don't even know who the reserve GK *IS*... :D

If Rustu got over his injury and got back in form, this could be blessing in disguise. He is arguably the best GK ever from balkans and has the experience on his side since he led us to 3rd place in WC 6 years ago. He sucked previous year due to injuries and i dont think anybody other than Turkish medical staff knows how much improvement he made over last couple months.

Tolga is promising but i wouldnt trust him.

Ridiculous. I thought a yellow card would have sufficed; more than one game suspension is just inane.
