World Cup tickets for 2010 South Africa

According to the official World Cup 2010 website, the first phase of the ticket sales for the
general public will start in February 2009.
They had this information there for a long time.
I checked the website today - 02/02/09 - and they still don't have a specific date about ticket sales.
I consider this a bad sign.
Anyone has information about this?

Before the '06 World Cup in Germany and Euro2008 in Austria & Switzerland we didn't have
such issues... No specific date so far about ticket sales for the biggest sporting event? Strange...
GSW fan since the Joe Barry Carroll years...

the first stadium was just finished... they still have time... but, isn't the confederations cup this summer?

Yeah, its this summer. They have a deadline for the stadiums to be completed but I forgot when. They are using 4 venues, all needing upgrades.

USA plays Italy, Egypt, and Brazil in group stages.
