The Transfer Thread

For no apparent reason, really.

So far, I know Diego is going to Juventus.

I think Adebayor is leaving Arsenal.

Cannavaro to Juventus.

adebayor leaving arsenal? to where?

the story this summer will be once more where ronaldo will be going and how many millions will manCity spend.

also, a lot of movement in coaches, specially for important teams like real madrid, milan, chelsea and juve.

^true, coaching carousel might be more significant than player transfers this offseason. Mourinho already signed a new contract worth 3 years/55 million euros amid Real interest. Also, lot of reports regarding Arsene Wenger going to Real.

Diego Milito and Thiago Motta going to Inter, with Hernan Crespo going other way in free transfer.

Ronaldo has stated that his home and his heart is at Manchester United.

What? 18.3 million per for Mourinho? That's insane. Also, would you want Crespo in Galatasaray?

^sure, for the right price, why not? we desperately need another striker to pair with Baros. i am reading we are also going after Van Nistelrooy which i would take over Crespo.

btw, that 55 million figure might be the exaggeration of Turkish press, can't find the same figure in any international site, so take it with a grain of salt.

Don't be that excited about the Van Nistelrooy news, that rumor is also from our newspapers. About Mourinho, I couldn't find any news on his annual salary.

Milan is supposed to be interested. Even if that's not true, I think he'll leave because he's fallen out with Wenger. He's been really lazy since he got his fact contract.

to put it crudely, Ronaldo is the ultimate attention whore, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he goes to Real-the Lakers of the european football-despite what he stated. regardless, Manu will be in good shape long time to come.

 He's slow and slows down the entire team when he is with the ball. Arsenal needs to get an experienced player, who can come in and make an impact right away, just like Arshavin did. David Villa came up in transfer rumors, if we can get him, that'd be siiick. Also we need a better goalie, Almunia sucks. Adler possibly?

van Persie --- Villa(?)
Nasri --- Fabregas --- Denilson/Walcott/Diaby(?) --- Arshavin

Wenger said he still felt the club(Arsenal) were on the up and even made a point of mocking Real's recent record in Europe.

"I believe we had recent disappointment but overall since eight months (ago) I'm very proud of the way the team has improved," he said.

"You speak about Real Madrid - they waste a lot of money and they have gone out in the last 16 of the Champions League for five consecutive years."

I'd hate to work for Real. 2nd place and you get canned? Screw that.

The board told Wenger he could only spend 13 million unless he sold a player or two. Adebayor will likely go for 20 or so, which should net us a nice back. Forward-wise, I like the Vela-Eduardo-Van Persie combination.

They are buying a goalkeeper, but he's 16 or so. If Almunia isn't starting, Fabianski is.

That's just not true. Almunia was the most consistent Arsenal player for much of the season.

I'm hearing talks that Arsenal may go after Ryan Babel.

And yes, I major in Arsenal rumors. I've just recently realized years of following Henry made me a Gunner. I didn't quite make the move to Barcelona with him. He just isn't the same Titi I looked up to in my youth.

From what I've heard, he's definitely leaving Munchen.
