U.S. forward Charlie Davies is in serious condition after a car crash.
Another person died in the accident.
Team USA still has to play a game against Costa Rica Wednesday night.
Davies was one of the best forwards on team USA.
I remember his goals against Egypt - Confederations Cup - and against Mexico in a World Cup qualifier match.
Let's hope he can recover from this tragic injury.

Damn I hear its going to be a 6-12 month long rehab and he's hoping to get back on the field at some later date.

I don't know who he is but. I wish he is alright and that persons family is okay that passed away.

hopefully he'll recover by the time for WC but looks unlikely. RIP to the girl.

Hope Davies gets to play again soon.

Looks like he'll be out for the WC, at least...maybe into the beginning of the French Ligue 1 season.

I thought Onyewu tore his ACL at first but they are saying torn patella tendon and he's out for 3-4 months. Who knows what kind of form he'll be in for the WC.

He's got a chance to play in the World Cup, huge loss for the U.S. if he's not back in decent form.

He is expected to resume training with his team next month.
