I guess we could not want Ivey but honestly we would ask for him in a S&T

If they won't put Ivey on for Ayton, then you really know DA isn't a true max player

Detroit coming away with Ivey and Duren is nice for them. Seems like they took on Kemba’s salary too, will be interesting if they still sign Ayton to a max offer sheet like some think.

This was on the ESPN insider mock draft writeup..

Detroit Pistons GM Troy Weaver is one of Duren's biggest fans in the NBA, sources say, and could very well look to target him in a draft night trade

It doesn't seem like if you were that high on who they also said was the most physically gifted big man in the draft, that you'd want to give Ayton a max, given the rest of your core is Ivey, Cade and Bey.

I thought that the NBA media said that Ayton was "the guy" the Pistons wanted

Duren looks super raw but at #13, that's a good high risk, high reward pick

I know this doesn't really apply to us apparently as a franchise......lol. But still cool to see who hit it out of the park on overall accuracy!

Five-star basketball prospects reclassifying and entering college earlier than expected has become a normal thing over the years. Andrew Wiggins did it. Andre Drummond did it. Karl-Anthony Towns did it. Marvin Bagley did it. Nerlens Noel did it. Ashton Hagans did it. Wayne Selden did it. Noah Vonleh did it. Nico Mannion did it. Charles Bassey did it. R.J. Barrett did it. Jamal Murray did it. Just last year, Jalen Duren and Emoni Bates both did it. It went well for one of them, not so well for the other.

Kylan Boswell is the latest do it.

The five-star point guard has announced that he's reclassifying from the Class of 2023 to the Class of 2022, allowing him to enroll at Arizona this year and play for the Wildcats next season. That means Tommy Lloyd's program just added a nice piece to a backcourt headlined by Kerr Kriisa and Courtney Ramey. As a result, I've moved the Wildcats up to No. 15 in Version 17.0 of the 2022-23 CBS Sports Top 25 And 1 college basketball rankings.

Well, we would likely need a Bridges replacement after the Durant trade anyways?

But honestly it would be somewhat of a waste to not prioritize a guard with our first round pick! That's clearly our biggest need by a wide margin. First round has to be a guard. And 2nd round a legitimate center option to develop.
