Can Phoenix take on the long-term salary of Rozier plus the up-front cost of a Saric and Crowder for Rozier swap? If so, what would be the most likely added compensation?

I would have said I don't think Charlotte will trade Rozier because they just invested in him, he is balling and they are almost certainly in the Wembanya sweepstakes anyway....you have to have players around the guy.

But, some teams maybe want to be a little worse (even though if everyone does that it doesn't benefit anyone). You can have the worst record and a 14% chance at #1, the 3rd worst and a 14% chance, 4th worst and only drop to 12.5%, and it only goes down 1.5% each spot, so like 7th place is still 7.5% chance...more than half of the worst record. Anyway, no one team has a good chance so tearing apart a team and getting rid of solid players if you are already in the lottery, might not be in the long term best interest.

However, if they are willing to trade Rozier, is he eligible? Did he sign extension prior to this past summer or sign this summer? Not sure if it matters but I know if signed this summer he can't be traded until 12/15 or 1/15. Not sure if extended prior..or even if that's what he was.

But Crowder and Saric would work. I imagine it would take a first round pick. They'd probably want it lotto protected. At a minimum, top 4 and never unprotected.

I didn't want Rozier when it was rumored that is who we were after when we ended up with Rubio but he's been a lot better than I expected.

I don't think SGA will be on the block and even in the slight chance he is, the Suns have what it takes to get him. They already have Chet and Dort...so a big and a defensive wing...and a ton of picks and versatile young developmental guys.

Rozier would be nice. Crowder Payne and Craig would work too if the Hornets are truly tanking

That is why I am okay being patient with Crowder - better deals might be around in January and February
