Lots of owners have political ties on both sides of the political spectrum. Cash rules everything and these guys have cash.
Herb Khol was a sitting senator while also owning the Bucks.
Everyones favorite past suns owner Jerry Colangelo isn't exactly apolitical, he's openly involved with some pretty extreme religious lobby groups.
Just saying whomever it ends up being will be rich, rich people like power and politics are a way to power so we're going to see the lines get blurred.

I also have a gut feeling the vast majority of players in the NBA would rather play for a team affiliated with Obama than Trump, since this is all brought up.
The fans (some of them) would say with Obama they will stop watching or whatever, but if that's the case, they wouldn't have been much of fans to begin with.
Probably not a stretch to say that considering no championship team dropped by the Whitehouse during the entirety of the Trump presidency.
Yep, exactly the type of political bull i would rather my sports team to avoid. Would start to resemble the Hollywood "walk this line or be cancled" machine. It is already half way there as it is.
