Yes, there is a regression, but the funny thing is his stats this season are still better than all of Turner's previous season stats and a lot of people will probably be happy with Myles, though he's far worse at stuff like setting screens, defending perimeter, etc.

There's going to be tradeoffs. DA is better in some areas but also worse in others. Turner is a 3pt threat, he's a dominant paint protector and he's getting to the line with regularity now. He's due for a new deal but he's not getting what Aytons getting paid.

Also when it comes down to it, it doesn't matter if Ayton is better than Turner, if he doesn't play like he cares and doesn't practically play better even if he could.

I'm not super keen on Turner but I just dunno what it takes to turn DA around and actually improve

Turner's playing better this season. Seems like he'd fit our scheme. The main issue would be health, which we already have had problems with. He's played in 47 and 42 games the last two seasons. Ayton has also shown he will step up in the playoffs and has that extra gear and can score from anywhere in the arc and hold his own on D against big names. If Turner was healthy I'd do it, though it couldn't happen until late in the offseason.
