And yes, the defensive drop off was there even when we were winning games and had a (mostly) healthy roster. He doesn’t need to be coddled online. The dude got paid like a premier player and then his energy and overall level of play fell of a cliff and now the team needs him to step up just so we can stabilize.

I agree that the most disappointing thing with him is the defensive drop off. There was some drop off last year and even more this year. I am not sure why. Often his positioning is pretty good and he can stay in front of people but he is not properly contesting as many shots. But it could be better on all fronts (help, positioning, contests, etc).

Second his shooting. Midrange dropped way off to start the season then got on track. Now his shooting is off, though I do think some of that (for him and Bridges) is due to just being the only starters left playing with backups and 3rd stringers..with more pressure and defensive focus.

About the only thing I see massive improvement on (and I think it was pretty good before) is his passing. His ast% is up 50%. His turnover % is up about 20% as though but he has some nice passes...and not just to 3 pt shooters..some nice ones to cutters or guys open under the basket and stuff.

He ain't like crybaby chowder, I doubt he cares that much. Some guys just like to hoop and Lee seems like that dude. I played on my fair share of bad teams in my life and still had fun doing it.

I just hope I'll be a happier sports fan tomorrow night after the Chargers game.

I guess if you have a good group of guys winning becomes the latter. Obviously, people are very competitive and want to win, but not everyone has the opportunity.

I may just not watch our games for 2-3 games not even box score watching (will be difficult) but I become extremely upset whenever we lose. Guess 10 long years of being bottom dweller will do that for ya.

Going to bed early, goodnight everybody tomorrow is a brand new day. :) Also, RA come over tomorrow for brunch if you ain’t busy.

I feel like Chargers can beat the Jax. They had to win something like 5-6 straight to barely win their division. Also, Chargers should remember 38-10 score and be ready for payback.

Prediction: Chargers 23 Jaguars 21

Hope you are right. Even though Chargers were locked into the 5 seed, they played their players last week and their 2nd best WR got injured. Maybe Bosa too.

A bunch of players didn't play in that first game and Herbert had just gotten his ribs badly bruised the Sunday night before in KC. It was clearly impacting him. But they were also without Keenan Allen, their best WR.

But the main thing was the Chargers could not run. Their great RB, Austin Ekeler ran 4 times for 5 yards, and they couldn't stop the run either.

I don't particularly feel good about the game.

I haven't had as big of a game as a sports fan though since game 7 vs Dallas, so my expectations are extraordinarily low, knowing in big games for my sports teams I can suffer and survive horrific game experiences.

At least my parents and brother are coming to town for a week starting tomorrow. Gives me a good excuse to take a week off from watching this version of the Suns.

Take your brother hooping and dunk on his head take out your frustration at the suns through your brother. Beat him 11-0 and scream “ now you know how it feels to be injured” then walk off the court saying
“Welcome to the play-in tournament little bro”.

I'm on the injured list, too, unfortunately. Still waiting to go to the orthopedist Monday about this stupid meniscus tear. :( And have to hope they can fix it in 2 months cause that's when my worker's comp ends and I either have to go back to work or lose my job.

This, he's had every opportunity in the world to hush his critics and hasn't. As per, one amazing game 4 below average ones. Honestly, as a person hes a great young man, I think he is trying to do whatever he can to help the team, he just ain't wired to be a leader, to be THE guy. This isn't a Monty thing, it's an Ayton thing.
