Monty must have took the -19.5 Suns for having the starters still in

It seems strongly that GSW is coming with Wiggins. Lets see if Booker chokes again or not.

Can only hope Warriors record on the road remains bad for the rest of their season.

I think Branham or Bates guarded him which made it difficult for KD to score.

This is the first game all season the Suns had fun playing together hence why we led huge throughout the game. We haven’t seen them play this way since last season it was a fresh breath of air to witness. Even though the Spurs gone close it was never a question on who’s been the most dominant team tonight. Everyone played well besides Ross/Shamet combining for 0/7 shooting. KD could have shot a bit better but 47% is far from bad.

Eaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasy win.
The big 4 + Okogie enjoyed this game, they were toying with the Spurs and got a huge lead.
CP3 is ready for the playoffs. He looks fresh out there.
KD was great is the first quarter. After that he relaxed himself and just had 18 points and 5 boards.
GG from Book and Ayton.
Craig was our best bench player tonight. He was all over the floor and he made a nice few highlights.
7-0 with KD. Let's go!!

So whatsup with no Payne? I haven't had time to follow that closely now. But I know that I'm usually disgusted by Shamet's play, and only disgusted a few times by Payne's, so I'm wondering.

Can we go undefeated in the playoffs with KD or is that a reach?

KD was efficient in first half, but ended with a bad shooting night. Probably didn't feel like showing up the rest of the way with Suns leading vs bad team. The rest of big 4 with good game though Booker's 2 - 10 on threes annoys me a lot more than say DA supposedly not dunking enough. Three point era, ATG three point champion, yet Book shoots at 35%. Needs to do better there in the playoffs. Shamet, Warren and Ross scoreless. Yikes.

Since coming back from his injury he was playing bad on most nights. Some great game here and there...but not consistent enough.
Monty gave Shamet the backup PG role in the last game. He played well in that game but he was terrible in this one.

In the 7 wins with KD, the Suns are outscoring opponents by 12 points. On the whole season we are +2.4 in point differential.

Spurs are a horrible tanking team I'm pretty sure he was just trying not to get hurt out there.
There's quite a lot of fake Microsoft excel star imposters in the NBA, KD isn't one of them.

Hey! I used to work back in the day for Microsoft Excel and I find your comment extremely offensive.

I really don't get why Lee is out of the rotation. Those wide open three point shots that Shamet has been missing, Lee is automatic on those. I get that Shamet is a bit better at handling the ball, but it's not like he's got elite PG skills or anything to compensate for his inconsistency as a shooter.
I think Monty is saving Lee for the playoffs so our opponents don’t get to see what he can do. But once he’s inserted teams won’t be ready for Okogie’s, Ross’ & Lee’s corned threes when Dbook & KD are heavily guarded and double teamed.
he had a disastrous february shooting .242% in 3's
and i guess mark williams lost some trust on him
.600% in march tho, i guess he'll be back over shame when monty's auto lines are finally updated
Lee's numbers will suffer when he's asked to do too much, like when our team is shorthanded.
In the role Shamet is currently filling, he's mostly required to hit open threes and make some smart plays while not being a traffic cone on defense.
Shamet misses (and rushes) far too many wide open 3s for my liking. Give Lee the type of space Shamet is getting and he'll knock down 50% from downtown.

Saben Lee cannot be any worse than what Payne and Shamet, can he?
I expect Monty will pass on all three of those guys and play point Book in the playoffs.
I also think that Damion Lee will pay an important role come the playoffs. That is if Ross and Warren continue to struggle.

Monty suggested that Sham is more than just shooting. Defense and length. So, if he's off, he can offer more defensively than Payne can. But when he's on...

I can't tell if you're serious. Lee is nobody's secret weapon.

Here is what Monty said about it:
Monty Williams said Cam Payne is fine. It was a decision to do something else with that second group. Wanted more size on defense and the ball in Booker's hands more for those spots.

So point-Book for the second unit... I guess I'm OK with that if/when Payne is sucky, but still no reason for Shamet to see the floor. Solve it with Ross/TJ/Craig or even Ish if really necessary. Shame is a net negative through and through.
