After the game while Book is getting interviewed, In the background you can see Draymond Green has Beal stopped and they had a curious conversation. Golden State has done some funky **** in the past. I dont know that I like Dre talking to anyone on our team, could be up to something or just straight mental sabotage!!
Beal was moved to the bench and responded well, don't think whatever donkey tells him will have an effect. If it does, he can always wave off the NTC and look for better opportunities.
Yeah, I don't think Beal really lets things phase him once, but I know Draymond was the guy to reach out to KD the minute they blew the finals to the Cavs, telling him they need him.
Interestingly enough, I was just watching the trade value podcast on youtube with Simmons and Russillo (about to get back to it) and they were talking LaVine, and Simmons mentioned how tough it is for Curry on GS since he is the only guy that can create a shot and if they just had a guy like LaVine, or one other guy that could create his shot it would help them a ton. I think Beal would help them a lot.
However, I don't think they would trade for him unless we gave them a couple picks, and I don't think they'd send us back a better player. And I think Jimmy would be better for them to trade for given how old Curry and Draymond are now...they can reset in a couple years.
As far as for us, is bench Beal better than Jimmy. Both will have good games and bad games. I think an engaged Jimmy in the playoffs would be big, but I have zero idea what kind of Jimmy we will get...particularly for the next two years. I do know as much as everyone hates Beal, he puts in the effort, is a pro, doesn't whine, doesn't flop, etc. I'm one of the few or only one who appreciates Beal despite knowing he is vastly overpaid and is unfortunate with injuries. It's not his fault we traded for him.
