Over $50M on a player that is a non factor on the court and usually can't play for the most absurd small injuries. I am pretty sure that the coaching staff asked him to play in this game with KD out and he said "NO, thanks" lol.
We traded for him when he was yet 29 years old...how he he can be so broken a player at his 30 and 31 years old without any big injury? IMO he just wants to play a long career (signing more contracts) and he will not risk ANYTHING on the court.
His play style also involves a lot of slashing and attacking the rim which leads to him getting hurt more than say Book who rarely tries to finish inside the paint.
He's also a very injury prone player and Ishbia and JJ had to know that when trading for him...
