Still don't think it was the KD trade its self that was the problem, just needed to nail the moves after and they failed miserably (Ayton and Beal trades)
KD trade was a problem because it was the move that put the franchise in this direction. It guaranteed we wouldn't have more than a 2 year window and then a rebuild would happen. That's what happens when you put all your chips on a 35 year old player. And then they doubled down by doing all the other stupid ****.
The KD trade was an all-in move. It set a 2-3 window and if you didn't win, you're in a real pickle. I didn't mind the gamble, I understood it and the moves that were made following were almost a necessity because of how limited our scope was to improve via free agency. But it just didn't work and now we're in the bed we've made.
