I will say this about the Williams trade - it only makes sense if they can move one of Royce or Allen for nothing but a TPE

Sadly it would seen we are stuck with Beal. A 15% trade kicker and a no trade cause are killers. It's $60M just to move him with the kicker. I can't imagine finding a willing partner. Our current lineup?

Of course I knew. Doesn't really move the needle seeing we traded for a guy we didn't need that has a career high games played of 44. And while his health could improve, there's not much chance of it increasing significantly seeing how injury prone he is at just 23 years old.

I'd rather we just stuck with Richards, who was serviceable and MUCH cheaper, and a rotation of Maluach and Ighodoro.

Ive never been a whitmore fan. Don't really know what to think of Whitmore vs a few seconds.

Maybe he is not much of a team player. Not a great defender either.

But I know some people here liked him a lot. Tbh I probably value him more than some seconds but if there is something like a GM rough consensus in the NBA I think they are generally more correct than us fans more often.

The difference between them is huge...or do you think that Udoka is THAT bad as a HC? He played Jalen Green 33 mpg in all 82 games.

Whitmore on the other hand was out of the rotation or playing here and there most of the season.

I don't see a stretch and waive buyout but I think -- for the right team - he might take 95-100m - - -which if thats 6 or 7m this year - that would help get them under both aprons

Granted, he likes living in Phoenix, his kids in school..... just keep him around

Both Richards/Oso were basically filler because we couldn't do any better at the time.

They are just not good enough. I would rather give Williams a shot and we control his contract which is beneficial for our future.

Besides Richards has trade value and we are getting back something for him.

I guess we'll see soon enough if this move pans out or not. Not like we have a choice in it now as with Beal, we're likely stuck with him.

I would love for Beal to have a injury free season and play like the real Brad Beal just too see the reaction here

He'd still get blamed for anything that went wrong, even if he was playing better than Book.

Book's the guy that eventually needs to go if we are going to turn this thing around. He was lucky to get CP3 when he did for a couple season so we wouldn't have to endure him to leading us to more 19-24 win seasons, but it looks like we are headed back close to that.

I'm excited for the young guys though. I wasn't expecting to have 3 rookies I'm excited about, and I haven't even heard about any undrafted players we've added yet. I have my fingers crossed Dunn gets better too.

Because almost certain either Lakers GM or Hornets GM got to him and told him they have a 3-5 year contract for him near or over 100M waiting.

Luka and Ayton would be a good pair.
Ball and Ayton also a good pair.

But **** the Lakers.

I just hope the suns can trade Richards

He's not a bad guy to have around with a rookie and an injury prone Williams, unless you want Oso to start if needed.

I mean I don't think he's better than if we had Ayton or something like the masses do, but he's ok.

DA will get more than Veterans minimum deal. But I do think Lakers are first in line for DA.

I'm far from a DA fan but if he got the tax payer mid level, there's a damn good chance Luka/Lebron could get a hell of a lot more value out of DA than the $6m-ish contract.

Yeah, despite laziness, he's still far better than anything we've had on the court recently. They may have tried harder but if you can't make a basket outside of 2 fi (and for Nurkic even inside of 2 fit half the time). At least he could hit shots and pulled some gravity making it easier for everyone else to get open and have space on offense, and despite him not looking like an energetic rebounder he was in double digits every year (even if people think they all just bounced straight too him). And people would be surprised to find out he actually dunked far far more than any Cs we've had since him.

Anyway, sure, they won't like when he does dumb things or looks lazy, or spins away from the basket when he is right next to it, but he's going to be one hell of a bargain for what they get.

Our fans will cut off their nose to spite their face......get rid of him! I don't care if it takes Camara...Nurkic is good and we get Allen and get even older!

The guy would be like the highest end defender/lob threat type of C at almost any price. If they got him for MLE, that's a steal. Like I think about what Luka got out of Lively in his rookie season and Ayton is a more complete version of him. Maybe less of a motor but those lobs, around the basket finishes, PnR's and PnP's will be there. I do hope he doesn't go there
