Let’s see what happens to our SG log jam and over abundance of centers.

4 seconds available for trade sounds good until you see we only have 4 2nds in the next 7 years, period. By default, every team gets 1, so 4 over that time frame isn't exactly inspiring. I'd rather just use the picks anyway. We've traded enough to them. If anything, use them to move up in the draft next year or something.

I’m not going to church up what he has done or what he is doing just to lie to myself that everything is great. Not my thing. Respect is earned, not given.
Just hope they have a plan when Beal is gone .. especially waive and stretch. Don’t do something stupid to fo something
I’m really starting to believe those rumors Ishbia may be broke. But either way, I’m with you. Don’t do something stupid
Is there that rumor? I was wondering how he was doing financially the other day because there are a record number of houses on the market and no buyers, and there are also a record number of defaults (or people almost in default) aside from the housing crisis in 2007-2010. So a mortgage business I imagine is not doing well...few new mortgages and a lot of people not paying them, though he may own a lot of houses (or his company might) from foreclosure...but this is all just starting. It will get significantly worse.
I don't know how leveraged he was in buying the team, but I imagine he took out some debt and diluted is ownership by giving out equity to some others too. Teams may go up in value but that doesn't matter until you sell them.

This FO could build a Finals team and we would still have the usual suspects on this board complain that Ishbia didn't give them enough relish on their hotdog.
Even the last two years you have acted like every move we've made is some sort of genius move and you laugh at other teams and owners like they are dumb. Newsflash. We haven't done so well in the summers since Ishbia bought the team. While I admire the effort and a lot of the signings seemed good at the time (Okogie, Bates-Diop, Tyus Jones, Monte Morris) they really didn't turn out that way. I do think we had a good offseason though. However, I didn't expect to get much for KD but I did expect a little bit more.

I've read that the housing market is not so great so that would definitely hit Ishbia's pocketbook.
There's pretty much no corporation that can keep bleeding hundreds of millions of dollars in losses and stay solvent so Ishbia spending so much over the 2nd apron was never something he could sustain over a long period of time.

I don't blame Booker for taking the money
I blame the Front Office . That said. its probably smart to extend him because Booker will ask for a trade next year or 2027 at the latest so he is signed for the new team.
Wouldn’t it be smart to wait to extend him if he’s prob going to ask for a trade because now he’s prob untradable with that contract (because it’s over a 1/3 of a payroll. Not sure I see a team desperate to pick up $75 million a year to restrict their roster for a non-All-Star). I’ve never seen a team give a record breaking contract to a non- All-star. If you have, please let me know. And I kinda do blame Booker because franchise players made room in their contract so as not to constrict the roster. Tom Brady being the most famous to do it.
At least it's only 2 years. It's not like Embiid or George or some of the others.

I don't know if you know this but there are multiple teams in the WC that are not much better than the Suns.
The KD experiment was fine until empty stats Beal was added to this team.
Ishbia pivoted and traded KD. Beal will get bought out. What else do you want from him?

Maybe a REALLY rich savvy guy will come in and buy it since it's a distressed asset (the Suns, not is company).

KD played in 8 regular season games before we added Beal (yes, we did go 8-0 and win a series, but probably only because Kawhi got injured. We also had Ayton and Paul then though too instead of Nurkic and Allen.

Yes and clearly it didn't work. Coaching included.

15% of our cap is dead money
35% of our cap is Booker
50% of our salary is used up on a non All-Star and a ghost for the next 5 years. I sure hope the housing market comes back around because the only way towards success for the next 5 years is to overpay free agents and go over the salary cap.

My Goal for the off season was for us to get 2 Bigs in addition to Richards a center and legit PF
We have 2 new centers coming to camp to maybe join Richards, if we do not trade him.
We have a legit PF in Fleming
We got a SF/PF form Europe which we needed.
We signed Gillespie as our PG
and more to come
I can't wait to see this group play, I hope they do not disappoint.

Gambo said 24-48 hours and the Beal situation would be done and dusted.
Apparently he does know what is going on with this team.

That means we're stretching him
Which is the worst outcome imo
If this goes through it's Ishbia being short sighted once again and making disastrous moves with lasting consequences. Sure we will save some money this season and the next but that money is going to be on the books for a long time.

He’s out of money. I’m 100% convinced. He came in and talked a big game and went broke. He’s only looking at the short term because he has no money to look at the long term.
Calling my shot. Ishbia will own the suns shorter time than Mikhail Dmitrievich Prokhorov owned the Nets. Ishbia going down the same path.

Why would anyone including Ishbia pay 230M in tax to keep Beal on this team?
Ask any owner in this league and they would have made the same decision.
Second this puts the team outside BOTH tax aprons which allows for more flexibility.
Does that extended cap hit hurt the franchise? Maybe but at least the cap is slightly increasing and Beal is not on this team.

Possible and though he is rich he's not even in the top 50 richest people list so he certainly can't afford to keep spending close to half a billion on the roster every year.
