Even though I was in favor of the trade, the thing that gets me is timing......30 games to change your philosophy and build chemistry is a lot ot ask of a team. This is especially true when teams around the west were aquiring complimentary pieces instead of team altering pieces. Ultimately this move could very well turn out to be one of those things that doesn't work out strictly because of it's timing.

I could have sworn we're going to have to play those 'elite' teams in the playoffs. Hell, with Marion we were something like 6-10 against the western playoff teams. That's a round 1 exit.
Yes, we'll get better...but losing by double digits to all of them is not a good sign of things to come.

I don't even think that the Shaq trade lowered our chances that much, since in the playoffs it might actually help to have a big like him on the court. I'm still convinced we won't make it to the Conference Finals (if even to the 2nd round), though, but that's what I said at the start of the season already.
We're looking pretty bad on the court right now, but people seem to forget that we already did so before the Shaq trade, as well. Just think of all of those close games we won during the 4th quarter - could have happened against the Sixers, as well. The blowout losses are the ones that worry me, like the one against Detroit, those didn't happen too often before.

Raptors fan through good and (mostly) bad times since 1995

but we arent 4-2.... anyways I'm not liking how D'Antoni is saying we are losing because the players are not playing with enought heart.. thats just outrageous. We are still trying to play like the 2003-2004 team when we simply don't have the same capabilities as that team... I think it's time to surrender completely to running and become like the Miami Heat that won the championship. We already basically surrendered running by trading Marion for Shaq.. but for some reason we still press the issue that we are a run-n-gun team.
I really don't know what else to say, im just really disappointed and tired of waiting... and tired of the same end result... losing in the playoffs due to similar circumstances each and every year since Nash has been here.
We can only cry now and hope that the basketball gods give us some sort of miracle and we play like contenders the final 10 games of the regular season.

Thats when it matters the most. Its up to D'Ant to coax that out of the boys over the next 10 to 15 games. I think this spells the end of Mike if he can't. GD...the first time the Suns get a center in 2 decades and they can't figure out how to use him.
What ? Me Worry ?
