Honestly, if he opts out, he's screwing himself out of a ton of money. No contender can pay 'em for what he wants, 'cos they're all over the cap, and no scrub team with cap space wants to spend $16M on a guy who couldn't get Miami a better record than 2-15. $16M is what you pay a franchise-saving guy.

So I hope he does opt out and end up crawlin' back to us, a year older and a year wiser.

For what its worth as a heat fan i would trade Marion and Blount for Marbury + the knicks lottery pick in a heart beat. Wade has been a shell of his former self and were rebuilding. Marion is a great player but his greatest asset is his max expiring contract.

that's my point! He sucked during PO and all u stat homers stats aren't everything, sure he had some nice stats but that doesn't mean he played well especially for his reg season standards, he only one really good series back in 05 against DAL but that's it, he sucked against the Spurs everytime we faced them in the playoffs, go to your bad team and do i like JJ :-)

SUNS & Marion = Fun team to watch during reg season but no real contender during the playoffs

SUNS & SHAQ = Not as fun to wach during reg season but a contender!

GO SUNS!!!

these fools who say marion chokes in the playoffs are blinded

1 good series?? what a joke, more like 2 bad series. Everyone judges him by the 2 series against san antonio where he did indeed suck. So did barbosa bell diaw and everyone else not named amare and nash

marion destroyed the mavs in both playoff series, was MVP of our first round series against the grizz 3 years back, then was defending brand AND cassell in the same games 2 years ago as a star vs the clippers

marion has given his all to this club, and people seem to judge him by his inability to play well against the best defensive team in the L

i guess lebron sucks as well then after last years finals

How is trading Marion + Blount for Marbury and the lottery pick crazy?

The Heat get rid of a bad contract and get a lottery pick while still keeping a max expiring contract? That gives them the flexibility to make a trade at next season trading deadline or just get the contract off the books. Marion to the Knicks gives them the intangibles to make the playoffs while getting rid of Marbs. The Knicks arent scared to spend money so Marion and his agent will be happy and imagine the press/hype he will get as being the missing piece that gets the Knicks to the playoffs.

the lottery pick will be high enough and the heat have their own pick also

giving them a good young core

i think the trade is fine for miami, marion has no place in their future (god i hope he stays in the east) so why not use him to get a piece

marion would DIE in new york with their angry crowds and media

oh my god u have no clue boy just a marion homer! And i think Diaw dominated in the 2nd Dallas series and by the way Diaw did a good job on Brand and Marion guared Cassel but ok!!!

Boy the Griz series was a joke and maybe u know that Nash said that JJ was the MVP in this series but everyone played well against them in this series.

Boy Marion sucked against the Lakers, too! Lamar simply destroyed him besides maybe one game!
He was ok against the Clips and ok against the Mavs.
But he sucked during important games! LBJ cannot carry a team by him alone especially against the Spurs.
But Marion being the 3rd wheel in2005, 3rd wheel in 2006(yes Diaw was over Marion in the PO!) and being the 3rd wheel last year for getting paid like 15+ mills and playing way worse than during the reg season is not acceptable look at Amare and Nash (the first 2) who just do even better in the post season.
So i am more than glad to get rid of a whining not producing player (during the PO). And u homers will see who we'll do in the postseason but some of u are just blinded. that's not funny.
Kerr did a good trade! I am all for good transactions and wins and a trophy and i disrespect players who cry and mostly don*t produce during important games.
So Marion good luck in Miami u crying baby u won't win anything with whining and crying just shut up like Nash did (back in Dal) and some other dudes in this league and u will get ur respect.

GO SUNS!!!!!!!!

firstly i was FOR the trade

And i think Diaw dominated in the 2nd Dallas series and by the way Diaw did a good job on Brand and Marion guared Cassel but ok!!!
Diaw did great, but marion was AWESOME against the mavs, i watched the entire series not 1 month ago. At the end of the series Dirk said that marions defense was the best anyone had ever played on him. (better than tim thomas grrr at that blown kiss setting dirk off for 50!!)

as for the clippers series, i watched game 5 (bell for 3!!!!!) again the other day too and in that game marion guarded cassell brand AND kaman for more than 5 minutes at a time and was commended for doing so by the commentators, he straight up was awesome against the clippers - almost our series MVP

Boy the Griz series was a joke and maybe u know that Nash said that JJ was the MVP in this series but everyone played well against them in this series.
so youre going to count the series against the best defensive team in the league (spurs) and say he sucks and not cut him slack but then wont give him the benefit of a series against a mediocre team? wheres the parity?

Boy Marion sucked against the Lakers, too! Lamar simply destroyed him besides maybe one game!
lamar definately had the better of marion, but marion didnt suck
He was ok against the Clips and ok against the Mavs.
But he sucked during important games!

Marion didnt suck during important games as much as when he was off we lost so he got the blame. Other players had bad games during the series etc and we still won, but marion was that good that when he was off we lost and he got the blame. He straight up has trouble with the spurs, its not a playoff thing, its a spurs thing, so i dont hold that against him.
LBJ cannot carry a team by him alone especially against the Spurs.
But Marion being the 3rd wheel in2005, 3rd wheel in 2006(yes Diaw was over Marion in the PO!) and being the 3rd wheel last year for getting paid like 15+ mills and playing way worse than during the reg season is not acceptable look at Amare and Nash (the first 2) who just do even better in the post season.
i dont think i have EVER said that marion was worth a max contract, this whole debate is about people saying marion sucks in the playoffs
So i am more than glad to get rid of a whining not producing player (during the PO).
no against the spurs

And u homers will see who we'll do in the postseason but some of u are just blinded. that's not funny.
Kerr did a good trade! I am all for good transactions and wins and a trophy and i disrespect players who cry and mostly don*t produce during important games.
once again, i am FOR the trade

So Marion good luck in Miami u crying baby u won't win anything with whining and crying just shut up like Nash did (back in Dal) and some other dudes in this league and u will get ur respect.

GO SUNS!!!!!!!!

if he cant get respect from suns fans after all the hard work he did, then i dont blame him for feeling that way.

esp when fans like you are stabbing him in the back on his way out

the guy will be a ring of honor member, one of the greatest suns ever
