a pretty so so game by the suns but they sucked it up and got the B2B road win, never a gimme.

Dude, the loudest cheer of the night was when Nash checked into the game. I couldn't believe the amount of purple and orange at the Key. The Sonics might need to leave because the support is really dying off. But losing 60 games will do that to a team.

I was in row 1 behind courtside tonight and didnt bring my camera. i regret that because i coulda had some great shaq pics.

as for the atmosphere in the key tonight - the suns had just as much cheerring when they were introduced as the sonics. in fact the two most cheered for players during intros were MVP and shaq.

i am watching the game on tv now and i can hear all the cheering when the suns hit a shot. it is just something i cant believe, the level of irrelevancy the sonics have achieved in this town is amazing. and equally amazing is the suns popularity 1600 miles away from Phx.

As a Sonics fan from Vancouver I can tell you that it wasn't difficult to predict that there would be a huge turnout of Phoenix fans. I drove down the day before the game and it was almost impossible to find a hotel room in Seattle.

It was spring break in British Columbia, the kids are out of school, the Canadian dollar is above the U.S. dollar, and Steve Nash is our hometown boy. The lineup of charter busses from Canada was long outside Key Arena.

The sea of Suns jerseys swarmed Nash before the game and arena officials were very kind to allow the kids to go down to courtside during the shooting warmup. Nash, as always when he comes to Seattle, waded into the middle of the fans and spent quite a long time signing autographs for all his fans.
