Shaq on what it takes

Post#1 » by Mr. Sun » Thu Mar 20, 2008 8:11 am

"We just got to stick to it," O'Neal said. "Of course, it would've been nice for me to come in here and us to be 13-0 but I wasn't really concerned with that because toward the end of the season, the team that's playing the best toward the end is the team that probably wins. All these 18-, 19- and 21-win streaks, I'm not impressed. It's too early for that.

"I'm not impressed with a lot of teams out there. By my experience, the team that's playing the best toward the end is usually the one that can get it done. I've been here 14 games. We're 8-6. It would be nice for us to be 14-0 but I'd rather us be playing good, solid basketball on a consistent level rather than just getting lucky and squeaking out games."

He would know, given the circumstances of his championship with the Heat.

Here is one thing Shaq has over anyone who wants to talk **** about his predictions..

Scoreboard bitch

When he gets pissed, he wins championships.

This team isn't even totally gelled and is on the rise. For as good as the West is, I see a little falloff coming. Hornets having health problems(slight), Bynum might not even play in the playoffs, SAS is full of a bunch of grandpas(god i hope they fall out of the playoffs, that would be classic), Dallas is imploding, etc, etc. I like our chances by the looks of it.

.. just hope Raja is ok..

Upon further review, my previous post was a huge homer post.

My bad.

Homer posts are pretty much OK when you're on the right forum.
:rocking:
Unless it's constant or otherwise annoying.

It's funny. I looked at when you 'joined' the forum and when I did.. and the differences in posts.

I'm so shy, haha

I pretty much agree, and now Houston has dropped 2 in a row by 20+ points. Yao being out is going to really start effecting that team I think.

It would be classic, but do you really want to see them in the lottery? You know the Sterns would win the lottery and grab Beasley even if they had the 14th worst record.

I would strain my abs from laughing so hard.

And then I would be very, very scared.

Forget about the Spurs, the only team standing between Shaq and a 5th ring is Kobe......oh and it looks like Phil was just kidding about Bynum not being back....

It won't matter for the SUNS if Bynum is back or not (maybe for Utah it might)... but it is really dependent on who the Lakers will face in the 1st round. SUNS might never have to face them.

i fear more the spurs than the lakers..id love to face the lakers in the playoff. bynum will be great but is overrated right, gasol is a choker in the playoff, havent won any game. kobe is a bad leader, once they lose it will show...

Yeah, I rather face the lakers than the spurs. But if the sterns fall out, just like what jlove_26 said, they would get the #1 pick and get beasley.

I like how the suns are playing, we just need to stay healthy, and our guards need to hit the open shots. We will be fine. And Shaq is right too. momentum is huge.
