lets be realistic...ive been a fan of this spurs for so many years...

2001 - 2004 - kings, 2nd fave spurs...
2005 - 2008 - suns...

they are too experienced to collapse...they will do everything to win. look, they started approaching the nba about shaq's free throw lane violation in game 3, shaqs illegal defense in game 4 and even tried to convince the league to suspend barbs in game 3...and to win 3 straight is almost equivalent to impossible...they will play dirty..anything to get one win..i just dont think suns are that mentally tough when spurs bring their dirty works...

Nothing is impossible... But these are the Spurs... A game, a quarter, a minute at a time...

Go Suns!

spurs in 5..

Nashill, this forum is about "suns in 7". This place is only for optimistic thinking. So , if you want, make a thread about "spurs in 5" but please don't come with that pesimism (ok, realism :D ) over here.

The odds are against them, so is history. But history will be re-written someday. Maybe now, maybe not.

All they need to focus on is one, b/c that is all they have.

That is right! All the optimism in the world right there. That is the mentality we need. One possession, One minute, One quarter, One Half, One Game and in the end there can be only One Champion.

I heard this on the radio today it was really inspirational. It made me think Suns basketball.

Here is a daily dime article from ESPN.com

By John Hollinger, ESPN.com wrote:
Just gonna throw this out there ...

All 83 times that a team has taken a 3-0 lead in an NBA best-of-seven playoff series, it has gone on to win the series.

But somebody is going to be the first to buck the trend. It happened for the first time in baseball with the Red Sox a few years ago, and inevitably it will happen in basketball, too.

And when would it happen? Most likely with a team that's basically as good as its opponent. That's a rarity in most of the series that started 3-0 -- but not in the Suns-Spurs series. The two teams finished only a game apart in the regular season, the Suns finished ahead in my power rankings, the scoring margin after four games is only five points, and the series would be even if not for the aforementioned Phoenix blunder at the end of Game 1.

I don't want to make too much out of this -- even if you presume the teams are dead-even and give the home team a three-point advantage each night, the fact that the Spurs have two home games in the final three and need to prevail only once adds up to a 94 percent chance they'll win the series. Most likely, San Antonio will be in the conference semifinals.

But this is one of the rare cases in which the team down 3-0 does still have a genuine chance of winning the series.

And if it happened, that would provide the ultimate surprise of this first round.

Hmm, Eye of the Tiger there Suns!

I have faith. Nothing short of a Red Sox over the Yankees miracle will be accepted this year.

The article was pretty good IMO. I read it while at work and expected some sort of bashing. It was great to see that wasn't the case.

nashill - with optimism like yours, im suprised you walk out the front door every day?

arent you scared you might slip and fall in the shower? get hit by a car? get a severe paper cut?

i mean seriously, why hope for anything, it will just all go wrong... right?

I know why nashill is so pessimistic. It is because he is afraid to hope for anything as good as a Suns Championship. It took me 60 minutes today to find a decent Survivor video off of Youtube. Plus my internet connection isn't the best but hey I still found one.

Go Suns! Rewrite history! Win it One Possession at a time!
