As I have stated in past post when this trade went down the Suns would be worse off and hurt themselves in the playoffs. Trading away your best defensive player for Shaq was crazy. Now Sun fans have to face reality that next year they will be lucky to even make the playoffs. Nash and Shaq are on the decline and your not going to get another good year out of Hill. Your at the cap with only 5 or 6 players signed up for next season.

Dr. Laker- were you a Shaq basher in 200-2005 when he lead you guys to 3 championships and 4 trips to the finals?
Does anyone on this forum think that the Suns had what it takes to win the chip this year before Shaq was traded here? With the West like it is, they had no chance in hell. They couldn't defend or rebound. Now, they are rebounding, but they still can't defend. Amare Stoudamire, probably the most physically gifted PF in the game guards people like my grandma. They couldn't guard the PNR before the trade because Nash can't defend anyone! To ask Shaq to come in in the last 1/3 of the season and fix that is (Please Use More Appropriate Word). He was brought in to give them a post presence, get some rebounds, and give them some toughness. Well, after watching this team with Nash, Diaw and Barbosa, I don't think this team could be tough enough if you added Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee to this mix. There is absolutely NO EXCUSE to lose a must win game 3 AT HOME and have the opposing POINT GUARD drop 41 on you.
The problem is that no one wants to point the finger where it should be pointed. Everyone wants to blame Shaq. He can't defend the PNR, he can't hit F/T's. Well, that's no big surprise. Those 2 things have been around since he came into the league!!! He can score, rebound, and he's done a good job on "the best PF of all time(according to some)" while being Hacked purposely. The finger pointing should start and end with Nash. He can't defend, and I don't remember him doing anything at all for the last 3 games except take a charge from TD.
I, for one, am so freakin' sick of watching the Sterns throw their bodies into the defenders and flopping to get calls. I don't care who wins the finals, but I pray that the Sterns and Pissedons both lose convincingly to ANYONE!!!!

I like Shaq. I hope this result against San Antonio doesn't discourage him from returning to the Suns, or discourage the Suns from keeping him around.
I would like to see what this unit (includes Hill, Nash, Barbosa, O'Neal, Amare) can do for a whole season together with a few added pieces (someone who can defend) and maybe, just maybe, a new coach.
But having said all that, Shaq has lost 7 consecutive playoff games since he won the title in Miami
WHATSUPWITDAT?
