^ i wouldnt want that as a raptors and suns fan (toronto native ;)) neither team really benefits, a 9mil/year BACKUP pg? useless. especially wen you need defence at that position and this guy is 5'9 and doesnt know the word. the 17th pick with 13th and 15th is good, but Ford is useless when we get Jack who can play much better defence and be a backup and wont demand much. UNless we get a trade lined up for Ford, i say no too. + Toronto doesnt get the 2nd scorer back because diaw isnt a scorer anyways.. no for both teams :D

According to reports coming out of Arizona, you guys are willing to give up Boris Diaw for Rasho Nesterovic. I mean, I know that Boris' contract is a steaming pile, but is this guy really that bad?

I really doubt, Suns will give up Diaw JUST for Nestorovic.

I heard about it, but I think the 17th will come to the Suns. So its Nestorovic + 17th.

Kerr likes Nestorovic too, I think so anyways. Solid interior defender, still allows Stoudemire to play the 4, and given that O'Neal will not play 82 games, its a solid pickup.

Suns get 2 draft picks. Either way. If the Blazers trade goes on, they get the 13th and hopefully get a backup pg.

If not, the Suns keep Barbosa and get 2 draft picks to solve their PG, SG/SF woes.

The question is though, is Diaw really just terrible? That's what I'm starting to think might be the case as a Raptors fan. Every time I hear a trade proposal involving him, the value just seems to decrease. His contract is awful, his stats are bad and he doesn't try hard. The reasoning for the Raptors to take on that salary is if he starts living up to it, so tell me why as a Raptors fan I would want to give up an expiring contract and a pick for this guy.

Why would we want him?
