Think you answered your own question. If the Suns were saying things like he has a lot of potential and think he could crack the rotation that would be one thing. However when you say things like you drafted your franchise PG in the 2nd round and he was the 2nd best PG in the draft that will bring your talent evaluation into question when pretty much no other scouts or teams view him that way.

I'm not saying he can't be good but I seriously doubt Dragic lives up to the hype Kerr is spouting(mainly because it sounds alot like how he tried to build up Marks last year when they traded KT and 2 1st round picks for cash).

--- I was kind of shocked to see Coro report that they would have taken "the second best PG in the draft at 15 *if* Lopez wasn't available."

If he was legitimately the 2nd best PG, why woudl you *not* take him at 15, Lopez be damned? A franchise PG is worth more than a backup centre. Doesn't make sense to me.
That said, I hope he's a monster.

I've seen a lot of Dragic in last years.
He's a very solid player, I'm jut not all that convinced, he can be very good at NBA level. Hi's shot is suspect, whatever he did in that workout. His defense is great, his penetrations are very good, maybe he lefts something desired in passing out of drives. His court vision is solid, not spectacular, a bit better then Udrih's.
He is a hard worker and improved over last 2 years in most aspects of the game. We will see how he adapts and improves in next 2 years.

From what I've seen of Dragic's highlights and stuff he reminds me a lot of Manu. Just the way he dribbles and moves, plus he's a lefty with a similar looking release. Anyone else see this comparison?

I wish the Nuggets dumb ass management could've signed him. Without even seeing him play in the NBA, I'd still rather have Dragic than our garbage starting PG Anthony Carter.

I think he'll be a real nice pick up for the Suns.

He does draw a resemblance to Manu. If he can play just like Manu minus the ever so famous Manu-flops he should be a fun player to watch in the coming years.

I don't think I've ever seen him flop. One more thing, he likes to block shots on fastbreaks.

Heaven help the person who starts ANOTHER new thread on Dragic involving this new article. I'm as optimistic as the next guy, but seriously do we need 4 threads on the front page dedicated to him?

I was just listening to sports 620 and they said that Giricek is going to sign a two year deal with Turkey. For some reason I thought they said Dragic. I was freaking out. I guess my listening skills aren't as good as I thought they were.

From ESPN's chat:

"Bryan (Xenia, OH): Dave, Love the smark alec Q&A. Now that Kerr and Sarver have bet the farm on Goran Dragic and given him a huge contract for a 2nd round pick, what did your scouting contacts tell you that makes you think Sarver and Kerr are more like Harry and Lloyd?

David Thorpe: (12:05 PM ET ) I've not had a single scout tell me that he can play. Not one. "

Fun stuff.
