Guys please remember, he said the team hasnt had a defensive focus in practice in three years... not that they havent practiced defense in three years. And anyone who disagrees with Amare's statement is indeed ignorant in every sense of the word.

Mkay, so they haven't practiced "the defensive end" at all in 3 years.

Not sure how you're twisting it to say that we're all ignorant.

--- I don't see it being a problem of Nash not knowing the basics. If ever there was a guy versed in fundamentals ... a lot of it is just his size and speed. He's not built to defend in the NBA. He's always going to need help.
Maybe reduced minutes will allow him to expend more energy on D. I can't see "commitment" ever being a problem with Nash.
