It would throw an interesting curve at other teams though, Dragic could still gaurd other team's 2s and Nash could still run a couple PNRs out there, but Nash was the best shooting gaurd in the league last year, we need to use him as such.

I like that. Keeps Nash in the game in case the offense stagnates.

If Dragic is really the PG of the future, he should at least be able to set up some PNRs with Amare, this way he can be the primary ball-handler against lesser teams, with Nash playing a less demanding spot up shooter.
I guess in the end how much Nash gets to rest depends on the development on Dragic.

I doubt Singletary's going to get any burn. In my eyes, we have 10 guys that should get PT: Nash, Bell, Hill, Amare, Shaq, Dragic, Barbosa, Barnes, Diaw, Lopez.

Singletary, Alando and Amundson are just cheerleaders. I bet Alando and Sean will spend a lot of time in the D-League.

I think this is the most possible rotation Porter will be running at least in the first half of the season. I expect Dragic to guard SG's and Barbosa PG's.

And about Nash's limited games: I don't see the point in limiting the number of games he plays, just limit his minutes to 30 per game, and he'll be fine.

Well either way I think it's going to be one or the other. Porter's not going to play 11 guys. Either Goran plays in the D-League/leads the Fitness Club, or Singletary does. I just hope Porter plays 10 guys in any case.

The best way to determine if Goran and Sean are ready is to let their ass burned during pre-season games. I like to see the following playing minutes during pre-season games.

Drajic (20) / Singletary (28)
Barbosa (32) / Drajic (8) / Tucker (8)
Barnes (28) / Tucker (20)
Diaw (20) / Barnes (8) / Amundson (20)
Lopez (30) / Diaw (16)

As much as it is about form and leading the 2nd unit as a backup, I think defensive ability could play a big role in determining Dragic vs Singletary's minutes. Dragic has been branded the backup PG to Nash from Kerr and company, thus I'm sure they'll be doing all they can to facilitate a good environment from which Dragic can thrive.

I'd love to see Singletary play at least equal minutes at the point in the preseason - but really, will that happen? Nash is going to need some minutes to shape up in the preseason, and LB and even Tucker will steal some more away from Sean.
