It's good to know the whole team is signed and complete for camp.
I'm really hoping Dragic doesn't disappoint this season, as he's got quite high expectations placed on his shoulders as Nash's backup. While I realistically don't see him making a huge difference, I think he'll be similar to an Antonio Daniels type, hopefully with defense closer to that of Keyon Dooling.

I still want Marbury. I think throwing Dragic to the wolves this season isn't going to work the way Kerr/co. think it is, and that's not a knock against Goran. It's just going to be hard for a young foreign player to come in and learn the NBA's toughest position.
Let Singletary/Goran both alternate in the D League, and let Stephon handle the primary backup duties.

There is a scrimmage today? What kind?
Anyway, great news, wish all the best for Goran.

Re: Dragic Still Hasnt Signed with the suns!
I agree lilfishi22 and rsavaj! Nice take. Single is a D league guy, that’s it. He is a cheap replacement over DJ. He saves the suns like $600,000. So he is not that important, really. I know we overpaid for Dragic, and I do not think he deserves a nick-name because he has not done anything special as of now, or in the NBA. He needs to earn this nickname here in America.
I think this shows Kerrs ignorance by throwing him to the wolves so soon. Its not a surprise with what he has said about the Kiwi. A rookie as a backup, but to say he is going to play these type of mins is silly to me. Now I think it differs by position. The PG is the QB of this team. Lopez is big, and will not be making decisions like a PG would be. He is no Derek Rose, or CP3. I think he needs time behind nash, you learn in practice, not in the game. Yes, he can watch him from the bench, but I think it would be silly to pass on Marbary. He is already making 20 mil, and the suns can bring him in for a vets minimum for a year with a team option if needed. Dragic is here for the long run, and was not brought in to win a championship. He is a piece, but is a nash’s replacement if he retires. The games you don’t play nash, well, you start marbary, and bring in Dragic for 25 mins.
With that said, I am 99% confident that Kerr and Sarver will pass on this opportunity due to money (sarver) and ego (kerr).

Nash / Marbury / Drajic
Bell / Barbosa / Tucker
Hill / Barnes / Diaw
Stoudamire / Diaw / Dorsey
Shaq / Lopez / Dorsey
I wish that would have happened, im a huged Joey Dorsey fan, he would have been a more outstanding prospect then Singletary, especially with Amare and Shaq to teach him the ways.

Re: Dragic Still Hasnt Signed with the suns!
Ego and money aside, is there any chance Marbury is even remotely interested in signing with the Suns? From a career standpoint if he wants another decent contract (MLE maybe?) after his $20+mil contract is expired this season, he'll need to play out of his mind. Playing for cheap this season (ala Barnes) and playing well would give him a nice contract after this season.
There were talks of him being interested in Miami (or vice versa) since the Heats are in need of a proven point guard. But I think averaging 10/4 with a championship caliber team like the Suns and playing behind 2xMVP would give raise his trade value more than averaging 18/6 with the Heats in the weaker East.
What I'm saying is, the best career move he can make now is not to go to some playoff team and be the star point guard. No one is doubting that he can still play, but it's his maturity that people are questioning. If he is able to play for a vet min behind our vets and play well, he'll definitely rid himself of the problem-child image. Who knows he may even come away with a ring, and boom, he's got himself a full MLE.

How much and what is the structure of Dragic's rookie contract?
