4th Preseason GM: Suns vs Hawks

And with new coach Terry Porter stressing aggressive defense, he quickly made an impact at training camp and will make his first start tonight when the Suns visit the Hawks in Atlanta.

Looks like Barnes will get the start tonight, im interested to see how it goes. I love both him and Grant! Time for round two baby 8-)

But they did it mostly with good d and Raja being on Fire. I know you're types in green, but yeah we are on pace for 124 Coach's gotta be pissed.

Glad we are scoring more. The steals are up and turnovers are down.

However I am still bothered that we are being outscored on the fastbreak 4 points to 18. I know a lot of people will say because Amare and Barbosa out, but we still have have run plenty without those two in the past.

Any reason why Shaq wasn't playing?

D'oh!!!!

Nash is hurt with a sprained ankle. Hopefully it isn't a severe sprain. Guess it opens up the door for Goran, Singletary and Barbosa to show what they have.

So Shaq DNP = more points scored (only Suns' game so far with over 100 points scored) = SUNS WIN!
Only preseason of course, but things lookin bad for the Diesel already... This team plays better when going small.

Props to Singletary on filling out Barbosa's role nicely. Raja was awesome too.
Hill and Diaw got their job done, I'm not sure Barnes should be the starting SF for now, but lets see how he fits w/ the starters once Amare comes back and he gets to know his teamates better.

He was out with muscle soreness but he should be back soon. What gets me excited is that we won this game without 4 of our top 7 guys (Nash for a half, STAT,Shaq, and LB.) We've added some major depth to our bench this year.
