he could be the thug we need to get over the hump...

I've never seen marbury as a thug, more as a thug wannabe, that being said i'd love to have him here.

Still remember the look on his face after amare through down a huge dunk one year.

Yeah I agree, realistically a team like Miami would be ideal for him because they have a glaring need at point guard and minutes are more available there.
I'd love it if he could come for the vet minimum however, the only reason he'd come back here would be to prove to teams that he can be a part of a winning team.

Where's that "Bring Him Back" sig with Marion's picture over it? Lets include Starbury in that sig too. :D

Seriously, I think Marbury is worth the risk. We have Shaq in the locker room which I think is more than enough.

What, like Shaq will sit on him when he flips out? I've been reading the NY papers regularly and I really think Steph needs professional help i.e a wig mechanic.

I guess Denver would no longer be a consideration for Marbury now that it seems Billups is on his way there. Miami would be cool - Marbury and Marion reuniting (that is, if Shawn hangs around that long..)

If he agrees to come for the vet min, then I'm for it.

look, played his best ball here in phoenix. he is a good defender and he can run a team. he played for the worst managed team in the entire world and the worst gm/coach on earth.

he is a competitor who wanted to win, but got stuck on a lousy team. i dont think he would come here and be a cancer. you can play him with any one of our other guards. he can play pg and sg. i would love to see him and nash together with nash at shooting guard. marbury is a good defender who can guard both positions.

i am for giving him a chance. give him a fair contract. he is too good to play for vet min. this isnt a guy coming off a major surgery and he isnt some washed up player. he just hasas a bad rap for letting people know he isnt happy about losing. i think the new york media has had a big part in his downfall.

I thought it over again last night. I think Marbury may play for us for a minimum. He needs to play for a contract this season since it is technically contract year for him. If he plays well for a contender, he'll likely get a Posey-type contract with another team if not a better contract.

Good to see DEN is no longer in the race for a PG. However Marbury to MIA would make sense considering they probably would want to build around Beasley and Wade. I think they would let Marion go after this season and if Marbury is their guy, most probably sign him to a long term contract, maybe MLE?

suns wont be an option

SUNS *might* be an option if Donnie includes the condition he cannot sign with a east coast team. I can't see the Lakers wanting another bench warmer.

Soooooooooooo, SUNS *might* bite and Starbury goes with the SUNS. Sounds far fetched I know, but right combo of conditions could land him here.

I dunno, after hearing about all the "division" within the Suns, I don't think adding Marbury would help.
