When I heard about the trade, I knew the Bobcats got the better end. Although the trade helped both teams tremendously. Unlike most other people on this forum, where people were Boris Haters. I always believed he would be a great player. Its just hard to give him the ball with 7 other potential allstars surrounding him including, Shaq, Stat, Nash, Bell, Barnes, Hill and Barbosa. He was a great complimentary player with all the all-stars that we have on this team. How can you expect him to always play consistent? Im glad hes in Charlotte proving my point. and no hes goin to continue to have a great season consistently over there. So get off his nuts lol. He did alot for this team. Appreciate that. Now as for bell, Im sorry to say but i didnt even really see him as a great player for this team. You talk about defensive. But its not a one man sho either. So i was willing to part with him. Jrich is the man now, just play some D and continue putting up them numbers. :)

So, a few games in, I like this trade - for who we got and what he brings, for dumping Boris' salary, for adding Dudley and. much as I love the guy, we got something for Bell while he still has value.

Now let's get Sergio R in here.

We all knew Boris was going to be significantly better elsewhere. If you didn't believe it was effort and not talent you were kidding yourself.

I don't believe it was either. Rather, I feel that his diminished role marginalized his capabilities; when his role increased(playoffs 08), he produced.

Diaw not playing as good with us after Amare came back doesn't have jack to do with effort, and has everything to with opportunity.

Yeah so Boris wasn't leading the team with vets Shaq/Nash/Amare/Hill as teammates and with a roleplayer role, and now he's leading youngsters like Felton/Augustin/Okafor while considered to be a major piece of the Cats' team, ZOMG what a shocker :o
You seriously expected him to yell at the vets on our team?

Boris is a guy who needs to have an important role on the team, get his touches, and dominate the highpost to be worth his contract.
With Shaq, and specially Amare (and Barbs to a lesser extent) on the team there was no way that was gonna happen anymore. The only games Diaw got to dominate the highpost with us after Amare came back were the 2 last games of the 2008 Spurs series, during which he averaged 21/9/8.

It's exactly the same reason Odom is sucking on Lakers now that Gasol is their primary highpost guy and Lamar has basically the same role Boris had while with us. Diaw and Odom are the same types of players.
Watch Odom join a team that makes him their main highpost player next season, watch him go back to tearing it up, and watch all the Faker fans bitch bout him not having put enuf "effort" into playing hard this season, while in reality it's all about the decreased role and touches.

Anybody who doesn't realize that doesn't know shiyt bout the game of basketball.
