Good evenining Suns fan,
I wast just told that the Suns have been talking to the Piston about a trade that would involve Amare Stoudimare and Alando Tucker for Rasheed Wallace and Amir Johnson. According what I've been told is that the Suns are the ones that are holding the trade from coming thru. There is also another trade that the Piston want to do that would involve Amare by himself for Rasheed and Rodney Stuckey or Aaron Afflalo. The Piston don't want to include Rodney Stuckey which is understandable.
db can you please confirm this is if you are able...
The Suns are going to see how they look tomorrow and according how they look vs the Spurs, they are either going to make the trade or not. I'm not sure if this source is reliable to be honest but I want to see if db can confirm this.
1st trade:
Amare Stoudimre
Alando Tucker
For
Rasheed Wallace
Amir Johnson
2nd trade:
Amare Stoudimre'
for
Rasheed Wallace
Rodney Stucker or Aaron Afflalo
Please confirm db.. Thanks!

Could happen, the J-Rich trade might have been a sign considering he's a scorer and they got him to replace Amare's points if/when he's traded. Also this off season the Suns are going to be over the luxury tax and Wallace has an expiring contract, so I wouldn't be surprised if this was made for salary reasons also...

Re: Amare for Sheed
This would be pretty major, I feel like DB would post on this if he heard, without putting the bait in the water.
I wonder why the Suns would be the hesitant ones? Trading our future for a "win now" piece, when at the moment "win now" seems pretty unrealistic. And if these idiots in our FO ARE trying to win now, news flash you don't just start shuffling pieces around midseason, you have to actually plan for something as major as, say, an NBA ring. If we give up STAT only to bow out of the playoffs early I'm bustin some heads.

Re: Amare for Sheed
Im not sure I would pull the trigger either. Amare has played really good for us latley, and is grabbing boards. I think they would if they think Shaq can still lead this team to a championship as the main guy down low, and shed can bring that spark he did when he was traded to the pistons.
I might be closer to pulling the trigger if Stuckey is apart of the trade. Im not ready let our best peice, our future go when Im not sure this trade puts us over the top.
sheed is a hell of a player, but if it happens, I would not be surprised.

Re: Amare for Sheed
I would totally stop watching the Suns if this happened...
STAT might be an immature douche, but he is pretty talented and well,YOUNG!
Rasheed is a decent player, but nowhere near as talented as Amare at the offensive end. Yea he is a good defender, a good post player and shooter, but we give up too much youth, athleticism and potential superstardom with Amare.
If this trade goes through, this Suns roster finally filled up the biggest hole with the team. We have to go all the way with this roster (maybe trade Nash for someone younger and talented), with the notion of re-signing Amare when his contract is up.

Re: Amare for Sheed
this trade will boost the chance of winning it all this year or next year. but if i am the gm, i wont have balls to pull the trigger. like abaddon said, suns are giving up a young and talented offensive player. i think stuckey will be the key for this trade for kerr to pull the trigger. if stuckey will continue to play like the past 3 games, then lets do this trade.
Spurs.Grizzlies.Hawks.Bulls.Wizards.

Re: Amare for Sheed
This trade would have been good four or five years ago but don't really see how this makes the Suns better now. Rasheed is like the same age as Nash, the Pistons wont throw in Stuckey, I do like Johnson and Affalo both are solid contributors but none are going to be all-stars.
What's the Suns future going to be when Shaq, Wallace and Nash are gone?
C-Lopez
PF-Johnson
SF-Richardson
SG-Barbosa
PG-Dragic
Not to bright...

Re: Amare for Sheed
Look this sort of thread is pointless. We have a thread you could have put this all is in - even with the same players involved, and db only posts info when he gets it - so unless you have a source you can tell me/us, this is nothing new.
