I'll admit I completely forgot about the two first rounders b/c I was looking at the trade checker link, so my apologies.
As far as Amundson vs Noah goes, it's not about perceived value around the league so much as it is perceived value to the Suns. Noah has had some public attitude problems in the past, and he hasn't lived up to his draft billing. Amundson and Noah have about the same production in terms of PER, except Amundson does it for the minimum, and without the attitude.
I'm not denying that Hinrich is good, but if you look at production per dollar, Hill wins that comparison fairly easily.
There is no comparison between Luol Deng and Amare. Even though all of us are down on Amare, Deng has been straight up abysmal, and you guys overpaid for him by a hefty margin; there's no way we'll take that contract off your hands.
So really, I see the only net positive here being the two unprotected first rounders, which won't be as valuable as you are suggesting since I think a Rose-Stoudemire pairing would make the Bulls quite formidable in the weaker Eastern Conference.
But hey, if that still makes me delusional, we'll agree to disagree.
btw, when are you guys going to fire Del Negro? He's holding the team back quite a bit.
it seems you dont follow the bulls much, rather just read national media. the whole offseason issue with noah is moot. he is starting now, and finally in shape and had 7 blocks last night. he is inconsistant, yes, but the bulls have been notoriously hard on rookies and give them a short leash. he is a real potential starting defensive center in the nba, amundsen is a journeyman at best.
hill wins nothing over hinrich, as his career is almost done. and hinrich doesnt make that much over the next 4 years and is a starting caliber point who also plays good defense.
luol was slowed by injury early this year and was not a great fit in del negros initial system. but he has been coming around if you look at his game log. he is still the high potential young player he was before. his contract is barely too high for what his likely future production will be. much like amare will not be worth the max contract he will garner in 2010.
