Fire Sale?

Post#1 » by jhern87 » Mon Feb 2, 2009 7:13 pm

Just wondering after hearing about the recent "meeting" if you guys might be a team that will be looking to tear it all down anytime soon? Usually fans have a pretty good feel about their franchise and what their intentions may or may not be, so I thought I would ask?

IMHO, now would be the ideal time to start making some moves because you could potentially get some pieces put in place to try and get Amare to want to stay and be a part of your future. What are your thoughts?

--- I think what we all fear here is a fire sale, kerr unloading pieces in a desperate attempt to salvage his mistakes.
We got unhappy, disenchanted stars and a team on the skids with no light at the end of the tunnel.
It would not surprise me to see anyone traded away, sad to say

The only "fire sale" we'll have down in Phoenix would be Porter selling his house and belongings, because he's gonna need to find a new home. :D

You guys have a lot of guys that could really potentially land you some nice piece to start building toward the future with. I think what Kerr should do is trade Steve Nash, Shaquille O'neal and any other guys that they don't think will be a part of their future to other teams and start stacking up assets. I just think the way the team is built right now it doesn't appear that you guys could win the West so the sooner you rebuild the better. And if you can do it fast enough, maybe Amare will see something he would want to be a part of?

Nash & Shaq aren't getting any younger and their trade value is diminishing with their youth. Am I missing something?
