Robert Sarver Speaks...

Post#1 » by The Diesel » Tue Feb 3, 2009 5:35 am

Hey guys,

Sarver spoke before the game today and even he thinks the team needs to change the way they play.

Here are some of his comments followed by the link to the full article.

Sarver flew to meet with players after a three-game skid during a recent Eastern road trip and held a one-hour, closed-door meeting with staff and captains Steve Nash and Grant Hill after Saturday's loss to Chicago. He wants a change in play, not personnel.

"We definitely need to change what we're doing so we can start winning more games," Sarver said. "I think that change can happen with the existing staff and existing group of players, but it's going to be up to them to make it happen. We're too good and too talented to waste the season."

Your thoughts?

Well, it's good to see that Sarver recognizes Porter's offense SUCKS and the team needs to run more instead of passing it to Shaq all the time.

The bad news is it seems he still has confidence in Porter. In other words, Porter won't be fired.

It seems that that's why they hired Porter. He is willing to change when told. There were other coaches who are set in their ways but TP probably showed that he's flexible. Unfortunately, that also means that he doesn't know what he's doing and that he's figuring things out as he goes. I truly wish him the best but I'd hate to be in his shoes right now.

It makes Porter look pretty flippin dumb when the team OWNER comes in, tells him to change his ways, and the team has a 50 point blowout.

Really flippin dumb

and by flippin I mean ******

Irregardless of what you mean, I dont believe that destroyment is a word. I'm much to observative to let such a insquantulous word be used with such cromulent disregard.

great is this another team meeting? Now it's an Owner-coach only meeting, right? How many different meetings can a professional team have? I'm tired of meetings, just change the offense and start winning games. I'm still waiting for the Onwer/coach meeting to FIRE PORTER!! that's the meeting that I'm talking about!.

Hopefully Gentry does gain more control over this team; Porter should just let Gentry be in charge of the offense.

No problem lol. I was compelled to respond because the word you made up looks like a real word, and decided to add some more of them :)
