What about Tony Allen for Grant Hill straight up? Tony can be your perimeter defender. He's an excellent slasher and a good free throw shooter too.

You want to think long term, fire Porter first. That should be the first step
If approached long term, would it matter what order they progressed ?
What ? Me Worry ?

Fire him before Kerr trade more players away to please this idiot and to fit his so-called 'system'. So yes, it matters.

Haha...you think Porter has a system ? You think Porter has any impact on who this team deals ? This is all Kerr-laid's doing...the style of play, the system, the personel, the YES MAN coach. Keriste, why do you think TP still has a job ?
porter 1
Noun
1. a man employed to carry luggage at a railway station or hotel
2. a hospital worker who transfers patients between rooms [Latin portare to carry]
porterage n
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
porter 2
Noun
Chiefly Brit a doorman or gatekeeper of a building [Latin porta door]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
porter 3
Noun
Brit a dark sweet ale brewed from black malt [short for porter's ale]
Take your pick.....
As far as what this team should do...after watching the last two games, this night and day ball club really has no chance at all in the playoff with the current players. I still have not seen a deal for STAT that could make any difference about that....and have seen even fewer Shaq trades that amount to anything but a salary dump. May be I am wrong... but jebeezus, we are half a season down and these guys still have trouble playing with any degree of consistancy ?
Why in the world would we NOT blow this squad up ? at least it removes all expectations, allows for Kerr-nel Klink to keep his much ballyhooed coach on the payroll, and could restore some hope in the now mortgaged future. Consider the fact that Nash will be in his last yr here. Can you imagine Sarver the $alaryCarver keeping him here against his will ? Nash has been very diplomatic about his complaints...but nothing will change the BIG F-N WHAT IF deals that were made that were clearly detriminal to this club.... Nash knows it, and he let the front orfice know that he did not approve.
What ? Me Worry ?

Very funny, Frank.
I never was against the idea of blowing this up, but I'd like to give all these guys another chance to at least finish the season without that idiot. I can tolerate losing IF we're playing hard and playing the right way. I'd just enjoy guys having fun playing basketball. THEN we can decide on what to do with Amare, Shaq, LB and the rest. I still believe that you can always get better offers during the off-season near draft night when other owners get more desperate.
That's why Porter needs to go BEFORE Amare or whoever is traded. And seriously, if Porter is still the coach, what are we doing clearing cap space to land FAs? What FA is going to come here to play for this idiot?
