Why not Sam I am?

Any thoughts on bringing in Sam Cassel for the rest of the season? Is this a "no way", not sure what his status is other than being old. He's better than Dragic though.

I'd love to bring in Cassell. I think he may have some big games left in him

I'll take the risk on a proven vet like "sam I am".

I would take that risk also. Jwill or Cassel, I'm okay with either. Cassel knows Boston inside and out, which would be an advantage when we get to the Finals....8-)

I could only see them signing Sam if Nash is going to be out for a while, though.
They seem to be making a committment to bringing along Dragic now, which future-wise is a good thing.
Cassell might be a good quick fix to get Suns to the playoffs. But if Suns are only going to sign one guy, isn't it better at this point to get a bigger body?

 And he was on the Celtics team that beat the Suns first-round opponent, LA!
But seriously, Cassell's a winner. The more I think about, the more I like this idea.

Why Boston -- who are doing just fine as is, to begin with -- would cut Cassell to bring in a malcontent like Starbury is beyond me.

I'm actually on the fence about Cassel, I think he would be a good addition especially in the half court play of the playoffs, but how much does he really have left in the tank ???????

before we sign a player who is that washed up like sam i´d prefer smush parker, step marbury or any other but not a amost 40 year old pg...
btw i think we need another pf. we can´t suck the life off ghill by letting him play pf. it´s ridicolous that we don´t face to sign a vet pf... is antoine walker or samaki walker still available??

Props to the great one

Have to get to the playoffs first before we start worrying about that.

But I think he would be a good addition. Watching him in the playoffs last year -- albiet in a reduced role -- he didn't look like he'd slowed down much
He was still logging starting minutes for the Clips last season before he went to the Celtics

I agree about getting a PF first. But we don't want Starbury. With all the drama surrounding this team right now, he's the last thing the Suns need

We definitely need a PF first, then a PG. I'd like JWill here, I think he's still got a lot of game left, especially if he plays behind Nash.
