If the Mavs suck, does this mean that we are suckier??

Pretty much  Oh how the ole' west has faded, except the Spurs :-?

We'll get bounced in the first round so dont feel to bad, but what the hell is up with the Suns fans, that place is like a cemetery and it use to have so much energy I would hate the Mavs playing there it was a dog fight trying to fight that noise.

The Suns also used to play with great intensity and draw that energy out of the crowd. Now you've got Amundson and the rest of the frontcourt attempting boring jumpshots and finesse layups instead of the aggressive play marion and Amare are known for...

what is up with all the talk about old players...

the only thing i look back for is the excitement i had watching the suns. this is the sports industry guys we will have our shots sooner or later! look forward to the future! marion isnt coming back that chapter is a done, bad move by the suns or good move its done. lets move on, talk about the potential future the people we need to sign to extensions and make deals for.

dont look back its not worth it.

Gentry starting to look like Porter. Shaq got no touches when we needed him. No Stro? C'mon. Dude needs to start!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to Saturdays game so I'm hoping by then he'll be in the lineup.

We're done for the season. What a horrible 5 years this has been for us Suns fans.

I think the point someone posted below is a valid area about style of play and tempo, but over the years do remember some pretty intense games between these two teams, and there was hardly that many empty seats.

2 and 6 on this bruising ten gamer.....

this stretch has converted quite a few over to the dark side....Wake up Call ? You gotta think D'Ant and BC are texting each other LOL's and smiley faces. What a dismal fiasco Kerr-plunk and Sarver have caused.

Don't know why Amundson seems to be catching so much flak. Guy leaves everything on the floor every night. Give me that any day of the week and I'll let a few turnovers slide.

Dirk makes difficult shots often. But when he's making difficult shots and drawing rediculous fouls... it's hard to stop the Mavs. That being said, they really have a lack of talent on that team and I'm sure that's why a loss to them is so frustrating.

I'm disappointed that Stro got zero playing time this game.

It's not like the Suns have alot of youngsters to develop, put the guy in for decent minutes and see if it works before you're eliminated from playoff contention.

I was under the impression that he may not be up to "basketball" speed right now. Gentry isn't an idiot, he understands the Nash/Swift PNR advantages.

--- That baffled me, too. Barnes busted ass trying to stay with Dirk but he just isn't big enough. Stro has the length to make Dirk shoot over him while falling away and he's quick enough to stay with him

--- If Amar'e had Lou's heart he'd be the dominant player in the league. I still want to see Swift and Lou out there at the same time, just to see what we're like with two guys going after the boards.
And I really hope we pick up Marcus Williams, though I don't see that happening. I really think the kid can play

--- Right - I have to assume that, given how Swift could likely help, there's a reason he's not playing.

+1.

I think guys like Amare, as talented as they are, see basketball as a job and play like it. This isn't to say they aren't passionate about it, but guys like Amundson play every game like each step onto the hardwood could be their last. I don't get the feeling that the average NBA player leaves it on the floor.

I do think Stoudemire comes out firing next year. I know everyone says this every off-season about every player, but I have to imagine that Amare is frustrated with himself, his doubters and his health.

He is on zero-activity right now, the last I read. He has to sleep sitting up to allow the surgery to heal properly. That's why he wasn't allowed to sit on the bench for these last games - in case he was jostled or bumped.
It's a very delicate operation, as you might imagine, and you have to be very careful while healing.
he probably won't be able to work out until early summer.

With that said, and even though some people criticized his effort in rehabbing the microfracture surgery, he really busted ass to come back and I think that's been apparent the last two years.
I'm sure he'll be full-on as soon as he can - contract year and all on top of whatever other motivators
