phx/no Blockbuster

This works for both teams. Here is the trade checker link:
http://www.realgm.com/src_checktrade.ph ... id=5051967

Phoenix trades:
Amare Stoudemire
Steve Nash
Shaquille O'Neil

New Orleans trades:
Chris Paul
David West
Tyson Chandler
Peja Sojakovic
Mo Peterson

Phx line up;
PG CP3, Goran Dragic
SG Jason Richardson, Leandro Barbosa, Mo Peterson
SF Grant Hill, Peja Stojakovic, Barnes or Tucker (one has to go)
PF David West, Louis Amundson, Jared Dudley
C Tyson Chandler, Robin Lopez, Stromile Swift

N.O. line up
PG Steve Nash, Antonio McDaniels
SG Rasual Butler, Devin Brown
SF Julian Wright, James Posey
PF Amare Stoudemire, Melvin Ely, Ryan Bowen
C Shaq, Hilton Armstrong, Sean Marks

Why for Phoenix? Mainly CHRIS PAUL! Also this makes them younger and tougher which they desperately need. Makes up for some poor past drafts.

Why for New Orleans? No brainer here. You get the most famous player to ever come out of Louisiana to come home and finish his career. (with an expiring contract!) You get a young stud all star in Amare and you get Nash to dish it to them. They get rid of their bad contracts and retain Hilton Armstrong and Julian Wright. This trade gets money off the books quicker and fills more seats in the arena.

Ok... Blast away

Suns do it for sure. They'd be set for the future just like that. They'd become the Hornets (a really good team) + they'd fill all the holes in that Hornets team. The Phoenix Hornets would have one of the best benches ever assembled.

CP3
J-Rich
Hill
West
Tyson

Amazingly talented and balanced. Then look at the bench:

Dragic / Barbosa
Barbosa / Mo Pete
Peja / Dudley
Amundson / Dudley
Lopez / Swift

They'd let Barnes walk and I don't know what would happen to Tucker. If they Suns kept their draft pick and grabbed Dejaun Blair to be the backup big guy they'd be champions.

The Hornets might have to consider a deal like this at some point. They have a ton of money problems. They need to lose some salary. They're not going to win with the team they have now and they have NO room to operate. They are going to be a GOOD DEAL over the luxury tax next year. That hurts considering they're already losing a ton of money. As it stands they're going to need to give players away and sell their draft picks. Things look BAD from a practical perspective in New Orleans. They're screwed.

This trade looks brutal for them, but it leaves them with Amare, some nice talent and one of the BEST cap situations in 2010. Lets say the Suns throw in their lottery pick and the Hornets are then able to keep their picks and suddenly the Hornets have a shot at making an affordable and still competitive team (down the road).

lol at this trade; why in the world would NO do this? they are basically trading they're starting 5, for Nash and Shaq who will be gone in 1 year and Amare in 2. btw, Paul is not getting traded; he is untouchable just like lebron, howard, wade and kobe.

Paul is the best point guard in the NBA, and will be for the next 5 years, maybe more...

Yeah no way in heck would NO do this. It would be like asking us to trade Steve Nash 3 years ago. Not happening, unless Shinn is crazy (well he is, but still).

if it were up to me i'd trade LB/Amare for Lebron/Mo Williams, then i'd trade Nash/Shaq for Kobe/Bynum. Then I'm sure we'd be able to trade JRich to Boston for KG. Does this work for you guys???

Mo/Kobe/Lebron/KG/Bynum???

Dude, why would NO ever do that? If we are extremely lucky they might take Shaq's expiring for Chandler and a bad contract.

This isn't NBA2k9. There has to be some kind of logical reason for both teams to do this.
