Let's just wait til he plays 1 minute of professional basketball. As it stands now, he shouldn't be put in the same sentence as Stoudemire

And to say he's a better defensive player NOW is a bit overboard, he's been playing against inferior players both skill wise and size wise...

Indeed, and this is partly why the NBA draft is filled with "busts", because GM'S draft poorly.

They see this kid and his athleticism and go "WOW" then they draft him.

See: Oden, Greg.

I think Portland selects Kevin Durant if they can do it all over again, they won't say it but it's true.

Put Kevin Durant on that same team with Roy and Aldridge and you have your own western version of the Big- Boston 3.

^Agreed...wow Durant on POR would be freakish...

Prz
LMA
Durant
Roy
Blake

YIKES...

I like Griffin, I think he's got great skills but I don't know if he can do anywhere near what he did in college in the NBA. When he used to get the ball down low he could just overpower guys and dunk...that won't happen when he's matched up against NBA PFs. And his athleticism is NBA good now, but it's not elite - like it was in college. I could see him coming in and having a Horford type season, maybe a couple of points more and a board or two less, so 12-13pts and 7-8 rebs with 1-1.2 blocks...After that, who knows...

We'll find out on Tuesday what pick WAS ends up with.
