Josh smith, Marvin Williams and a pick for Amare and I'm okay with that.

I don't really care anymore...I just want some stability and the season to start. One last run at it with Nash/Shaq/Amare is all I ask for. Post 2010 I really don't care.

I don't see how we'd be better than a 7 or 8 seed if we keep this same team intact. It's time to rebuild this team.

We'll you can't see very well. We went 14-3 at home under Gentry, without Amare. LB was hurt for three games as well. We have the MOST potent offense in the league, running SSOS. I would just be afraid of our PnR defense. I am willing to trade Shaq for Chandler, that is it. I no way in hell want to trade Amare for no one, but Lebron, Wade or Paul. Amare is just a beast. Obviously he needs the SSOL system in place to be that dominant, but oh well. He looked unstoppable in the first two games!!!! We not give it a run and reasses at the break. I think Nash, Amare, Hill and Shaq all want to try it, Shaq be the latter, because he should be 12 and 10, not 18 and 8!!

With Amare and Shaq, we had the highest shooting percentage, that was even with half a season under Porter. One way to mask the the bad defense of shaq and Nash, is to have an athletic big man, this being a contract year for Amare, I think he will do everything he has not been doing to get his new contract. keep him and shaq together with nash this year, and let the two big contracts run out in shaq and nash after next year. Minor deal, 3 way suns/sixers/pistons. suns get prince/sixers get Richardson/ Pistons get Dalembert. draft sg. play out next season with starters Nash/ Lb or sighn Parker (Torronto free agent cheap)/ Prince or hill/ Amare/ Shaq. You make the playoffs with that roster and a full year of Gentry ball. After next year, the team blows itself up, with with ending contracts, you dont have to be the bad guy who blew it up. If Nash refuses to resighn, he looks like the bad guy, the same with Shaq. No public ridicule, and all that money to spend, with Amare and Prince already on the roster.

So your optimism comes from 2 games against the clippers when the suns looked good? Everyone looks good against the clippers. This team plays absolutely no defense and they're old. Even if Amare comes back, they're not going anywhere with this current roster. We had a much better squad back in the SSOL era and never won anything; what makes you think we'd be serious a contender now with an inferior team?

I don't see how the Hawks can if they want Bibby and Marvin back and their need to sign other players to fill their roaster. No way they are going into the lux tax for Amare.
